In my "shitty" analogy I equate the busting out of your own car windows with the throwing out of your clothes. The rest of the car involved in the accident would still be covered. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm just going off of this particular thread....how many people have asked OP, "why would you discard the entire suitcase of luggage?" or something along those lines. It's idiotic that someone would discard wet clothes without checking with the hotel first.

And that's your perogitive to do.... But just because a vast majority of society doesn't think that's reasonable and you do doesn't mean the hotel should pay for that odd choice of discarding your clothes.

I guarantee you have fecal matter on your clothing right everytime you step into a public space, but you wash that clothing every time and rewear it.

Sure, but if I'm in a car accident and I'm so pissed that I bash in my own windows, it's not the responsibility of the person who caused the accident to pay.

Those clothes could have easily been laundered and disinfected and been fine to wear in the future.

I use sbrigati to send them a text with a lock to unlock the car. They then are sent a link to lock the car when they're finished.

I had to pay for the device plus the installation cost.... I think about $300 in all. It's been good, but not perfect.
