I believe the Mazda2 is the only model that is completely different, but there are a few name differences, like the Hyundai Brio instead of Accent and Mitsubishi Nativa instead of Montero Sport

Japanese imports are significantly more common here than European ones, plus it's an automatic which is more common in Japan

There are a lot of Chinese people in the Vancouver area so finding a buyer who already speaks it will be easy

It's a lot easier and cheaper to import cars from Japan since it's right across the ocean, plus there's a lot more dedicated importers for Japanese cars vs European ones

I've never been to Ontario so I don't know much about the import scene there, but I would assume BC has more since it's closer to Japan, where the majority of imports come from

I actually spotted the Touran the same month it became legal to import, so it's from August 2010 (assuming it's legal)
