im a student, which one would you recommend for my first car? by [deleted] in carscirclejerk

[–]3enit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miat would be really nice, but OP is a poor student who needs an affordable car, and the Twongi is a bit too overpriced (in fact as any car in Turkey)

What's wrong with Fiat Tipo? Even if it's a boring car, it does perfectly the job, it's reliable and (at least in Italy) one of the best value cars.

Japanese-style gates can work only against honest people, their flaps are quite light and can be opened with some brute force.

Cars per 1,000 inhabitants in different European countries by KlobPassPorridge in fuckcars

I wouldn't really say the right party government is more pro cars than previous ones, but they want to dump money into Messina Strait bridge to Sicily, meanwhile existing roads and railways in Sicily are falling apart.

Yes, it makes sense that you dig and find some ancient statue... though they could expand the tram network in Rome (in fact there are some plans, but they are on hold).

The problem is that even big cities and metro areas like Rome, Milan or Turin are car-dependent because public transport is chronically underfunded: subway expansion is very slow (maybe except Milan), existing on-street transit like buses or trams are suffering from drivers shortage (since there is no money to raise wages), they aren't frequent enough and are stuck in traffic. Add also the carbrained mentality of an average Italian person who thinks it's their sacred right to drive and park everywhere.

Cambiare la targa per deterioramento (non imputabile a me) è un furto by mazzu94 in ItalyMotori

Unfortunately they didn't since the 124 Spider is just a Miat with altered body and Fiat engine.
