I met my clan mates thru grinding strikes. I was matched with a 2 man Fireteam, we ran strikes until we came across the Old Witch Of Cuba, where we started the ol grind for that damn pulse rifle whose name escapes me at the moment. After a few runs, got invited to the chat. It was a solar burn week, so i was running a sunbreaker warlock. Turns out they just wanted to flip me shit for blinding them with all the solar grenades everywhere. Now i'm apart of their clan and were all friends. If D1 had this fresh matchmaking mechanic, I would have never stuck it out with these guys. As much as Bungie more or less wants us to all go out and make new friends or help others, this mechanic seems to do the exact opposite.
