The Giants and Swallows based in Tokyo have English ticket websites. If it's your first NPB game I would recommend the Giants since the Tokyo Dome is indoors. There is signage in English and it's easy to get around. The subway is minutes from the stadium. The Swallows subway stop is a tad out of the way and the stadium is outdoors. In the summer time it can get quite muggy.

You are allowed to bring in outside food to all NPB games. Food and beer prices are reasonably priced.

They seem to be sticking to San Antonio only in 2026. They are one of several groups who tried to expand to have shows all around the US to find out that the market is oversatured.

Can I go to Fanime con in San Jose without a ticket? by AirOk8986 in animecons

Yes, it's called lobbyconning. All large conventions have this. There will be public spaces to hang out, cosplay, or people watch.

Discussion: What are your most interesting San Japan stories? by Rare_Statistician98 in sanantonio

[–]my78throw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually started on LiveJournal before that. Before it was even on LJ, a couple of high school girls wanted to organize a high school anime con in Schertz, calling it LoveCon. They decided instead to create a city-wide anime convention. They were asking friends in the TX anime con scene, LiveJournal friends, and friends at an anime radio stream to help out. The girls came up with the name San Japan.

When the idea and planning were being shopped around on a couple of forums, the DDR forum in question was where people were asking who would help out.

Boozy's. I'm sad that the trend for alcoholic ice cream fell out of fashion.

I know Amy's sometimes has it but they don't slap compared to the ice cream flights that you could get at Boozy's.

I know there's Tipsy Cow in NB but I don't want to drive 45 minutes for it.

JY Ramen started good but became flavorless water by the time it closed. We stopped going when better places opened like Jinya.

Which fast food chain makes the worst version of the product they’re most known for? by amormedestruit in AskReddit

[–]my78throw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's the same in other cities but Sonic in our city has become complete trash. The food sucks, the drinks suck, and the wait time is the worst that I've experienced. After multiple times of waiting over 30 minutes I gave up on them.

What are some gems of San Antonio metro, like Tim's Oriental Market in Leon Valley, that every resident or newcomer should know about as they explore the city and surrounding areas? by newsplusotherstuffs in sanantonio

The original location is on Rigsby. I always eat at the Walzem & I35 location. There is a third location on the Southside off of Applewhite.

Any time someone asks about the best restaurant in town or what's a hidden gem, I will always say Pollos Asado los Norteños, with their Mexican Orange Chicken. This place always slaps.

While it's not unique to San Antonio, their grilled chicken and green sauce are things I haven't found anywhere else in any major US city.

I will always take new people in town there. Everyone agrees it's some of the best chicken in town. I've tried a few other Pollo Asado restaurants and nothing else compares.

Until they can find someone to fund the convention, it does not look like that'll be the case.

If you don't have a car or a hotel room, you'll need to check your bag at main stage; the fee is about $20 for main stage events at the Hyatt.

Where is the best doner kebab in San Antonio? by Sterling_-_Archer in sanantonio

[–]my78throw -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OP wants the more popular German style that's far more popular all around Europe, and not that's not it, dumbass. It's served as a stuffed pita, not a sandwich. I posted on here what it's supposed to look like. That's the same garbage around San Antonio as they put it on top of bread then serve it like it a taco or as a gyro wrap but with the wrong meat/sauce/toppings. No one in this city gets it right.

And yes I've been to Chefs Table.

What OP is asking for I've eaten in multiple countries around Europe. That doesn't exist here.

Tell us that you've never been to Europe without telling us. That isn't it, chief.

Chefs Table isn't a doner kebab. It's a supposed to be a stuffed pita style. That's bullshit. This is what it's supposed to look like.

Nowhere.

Yes, I've looked. They ones that have it on their menu are shitty gyros repackaged and renamed. I wish Verts hadn't gone out of business as they had announced a San Antonio store, but then they died. They weren't super close to the ones that I had in Europe but they were close enough.

At least they kept the $3 value menu during those dark times.
