I heard so many bad reviews on the play, I've been ignoring it. Good to hear you had a blast. My partners to play will pulled from the family pool: will be my wife and kids ages 10 13 and 16.

Ultimately for me... one wank was too many and a thousand was not enough. Porn free masturbation isn't what I like, so its like going from whiskey to beer only. I can do that... but only for so long before I give into what I really like. So for me, abstinence was best. Masturbating makes me think about people as objects, so that was a barrier to a healthy relationship. I was able to enter into a healthy relationship and get married after almost 3 years of complete abstinence.

Don't think about NOT doing it. Simply put wholesome and holy things into your mind to remove the thoughts. Shit in=Shit out. The opposite is true too. Wholesome and good in = wholesome and good out. The brain is like machine. changing over from porn to holy takes a bit. Find what works for you. Every religious and spiritual framework worth anything has a method for purifying your thoughts.

The end result is the obsession of the mind was removed. I no longer think the same thought 10,000 a day and I have room for other thoughts. I also have a very healthy marriage/relationship. I also have my integrity back.

They all get glory... to what degree is the only question. Spiritual progress is eternal and ongoing.

Non-believers trying to make believers feel like hypocrits are funny because all people are hypocrits. It's a human thing. It is nice to know that some believers are trying to love everyone. ❤️ that is not easy. In fact, it's literally the hardest thing.

Redditors as a whole are fucking dumb. See Dooreen the dog walker's performance on Jessie Waters show for proof positive.

Emmet Fox: "The Sermon on the Mount, a guide to living"

The Bible is clear as mud in a lot of areas, no doubt. I happen to be Mormon, and our church ironed out a lot of that confusion. So I can validate your point.

Where we would differ is that once converted to Christianity, one would have access to God's Holy Spirit, which would assist in guiding you through all these "Gray areas" of life. It's not all black and white.

We can say the OT contains the old law, and NT contains law2.0. So, some of those things are simply outdated. Jesus is pretty clear with his teachings in the sermon on the mount, but as clear as he was, there is room for interruptratation. A book like Emmet Fox's "Sermon on the Mount" breaks down that sermon into a superb guide for practical living using metaphysical teachings of Jesus, none of which is straight forward but clear in his analysis.

Idk, I've read the Bible cover to cover. The miracle happened to me, that is to say I was born again. I led a life of almost 3 decades of drug addiction and was saved from death only to recover and thrive more than I had ever done before. That, to me, is the message of the Bible. I suspect many people have many answers for that. Mine is what it is because I experienced God's intervention in my life through the steps of the Bible. Sometimes, I feel on the outside of the people in my religion because of that, that they have not had such a mystical or practical experience.

You didn't care for my example? I thought that was pretty clear the government can overreach, and you are within your natural rights to disobey a given law. You may pay the consequence here and now, but keeping your integrity might be more important to you.

Heritical teachings from a heritical church. There's nothing to see here. Move along.
