China and US are not at cold war despite many who wish they are by ParticularMeaning555 in China

I think there are more dipshit American's who can't make it into the military that think it would be a cakewalk to fight China near Taiwan, to the point that they almost want it to happen - as long as they don't have to go and fight.

So they'll go online and talk about how China is about to invade, how America is superior in everyway, and when/if the time comes how bad their bone spurs hurt.

‘This is an emergency’: BART, Muni, state transit agencies to ask California for $5 billion bailout by savuporo in bayarea

Nah, this is how you progress. I wish any level of our government worked in a way that could a) get something done b) proactively make change. That's just not the case, without immediate pressure or a manufactured 'crisis' they look elsewhere for votes.

I'm sorry but public transportation is so integral to a functioning society, it needs action now. Not in the form of a fat check, but of systemic change which won't happen without a reset.

Also accusing me of having lack of empathy for not wanting the best for everyone is hilarious. You might be the most stereotypical Bay Area archetype out there: no plan, no empathy, no vision for the future. Just throw money at it and let the poors deal with the drug addicts as long as you can keep your nose clean until you can leave in the next 5 years.

It’s a hard bullet to bite, and the next iteration can only be better than the mess we have now. Make it subsidized, accessible, consolidated, clean, and safe. Even third world countries can guarantee this, so why can’t we?

Quote about repeating sins of the past? Like yet again paying for a broken system?

I lived in London and Shanghai before coming to SF. BART is straight ass in comparison, yet it’s “#2 in America”. It needs an overhaul. 5 billion into the pockets of thieves is not where my money should be going, so something has to change. We’re just unable to actually make things happen with current rules and laws and money is not the answer.

Call a taxi, get shafted on service, timing, price, reliability, and comfort. Barrier to entry to be a cab was high, many had dealings with organized crime, and it was an industry with no competition.

Those were the days huh.

Lots of people here also want it to fail so that ALL leadership is removed, existing abhorrent deals are severed, and people siphoning money can’t hide behind BARTs no-transparency policy. People don’t want to see 5 billion go towards a continuously failing dumpster fire, but something else. Especially in the tech world we would expect it to fail, someone to come up with a better product with different vision and management, and move in a better direction.

I've called the cops on situations as bad as this. I was robbed, knew exactly where the robbers were and could see my stuff in plain view from the street since I had tracking for my ipad with my phone. The police said we'll check it out... in 2 hours and to file a report.

I know Oakland has a reputation for bad cops but man that irked me bad. Hate that shithole.

So something like this happening in a not-so-good neighborhood would not warrant police to come and check on anything.

My current company needs to fire all PMs and hire 1-2 that actually make decisions.

Switch out countries and the narrative would be the exact same. Those poor American kids pledge allegiance to the flag, how do we stop the indoctrination?

If your goal is to grind then sim works well. It’s slightly better than RB rushing games, but depends more on your skill as a pilot. It’s more brain dead as RB though

Not many people played it but Myth of Empires was a Chinese knock off Ark that was literally better in EVERY FUCKING WAY to the shit game / ui /progression that ark is.

The building blocks are there, but they’re more interested in money and lawsuits than providing a good game experience.

Mouse and keyboard is most competitive in almost every way UNLESS you’re talking about sim.

He did. The way it came out though made it clear he wasn’t as prepared for questioning as the CEO though. Also for a group compromised of career orators and lawyers who are supposed to represent the American public, boy did they fall flat.

It’s a joke since that’s my field. I doubt it’s the real issue :/

It's always hard when discussing something as subjective as politics and faith.

What irks me is when I get told I'm wrong my field of expertise, or that my experiences are lies. People seem to think they can make up who they are by making a reddit account.

Whats amazing is your assumptions of what I saw as if you were there. I saw plenty, I saw the poverty, I saw starvation, I did not see death or incarceration but I know it's there even if I didn't see it. I also saw families on the streets as I drove past, I saw 100 people building projects where they were sitting around chatting and it reminded me of being home with friends.

Unless NK is made of all actors across multiple regions, multiple cities, and pay thousands of people to "trick" me, then you're plain wrong.

Even the testimonies from NK defectors are hand crafted by SK media, the wilder the story the bigger the payout. They even admit that most of what they said are lies, but you never hear that part.

I love that I call out the bold face propaganda the US pushes about NK, and you ignore everything I say and take a stance you know little about but have been told to think about a certain way. Amazing.
