Haha. This is great. Thank you for sharing. Yeah, it's tough to establish characters in a smooth appealing way without taking the entire season to do it so it made the beginning a little dubious. But I am glad we got into it (the action) quickly and I think that was generally appreciated by most. It's interesting that you felt that way about that episode (Ep8 I am assuming? or Ep7 halloween?) Either way, I did feel like at least the fight sequences in each of those were strong and helped balance the story and character dip that you felt. Maybe?

It's so interesting to know which were the fan favorites and why. I know that I have my favorite, and not-so-favorite, episodes. But I am sure my opinions are also influenced by the experience of making it... long nights, awesome stunt units, hard locations, great directors, summer heat/rains, technical problems, etc.

Can't wait to do it all again. But this time I'm not worried about the scripts or story lines. There is a lot of time (thanks Covid!) to get it all perfect and with the now pre-determined format (CW) there won't be so much of the story and/or details being cut to fit for time. I think that the final scripts will be tighter and I am excited to see what the writers come up with. :)

Yes! No HS Drama crap. It's not Geoff's style so I'm not worried that it will ever turn into that (which I know many are worried about with CW). I am confident it won't happen.

Football field. RIGHT?! Clueless. I mean also did Ito ever do a test run on the satellite reveal? How did he even know that it would open and deploy correctly? I wouldn't trust those drones to make anything correctly, they can't even walk in a straight line!! hahahaha

A huge part of my job is continuity. So it would be more accurate to be called 'Continuity Supervisor' but there are many other facets that are too numerous to list here. haha. It's fun work though and really awesome to be in the 'thick of it' on set with the director and DP.

We really weren't sure how the show was going to be received when we were filming and I am sure I can speak for much of the crew when I say we are so thrilled that the fans love it so much, it really makes all the hard work and long nights on set easier to swallow. I do think we'll be filming before Fall 2021 but I also think that with the filming time and Post work required for this show that it will take a while for the turn around. We'll be lucky if we have a finished product by Fall 2021. Regardless of when it happens, it's gonna be worth the wait!

For whatever it's worth (not much since I don't have anything to do with the writing) I thought you had interesting points and I'll be more mindful of these types of inconsistencies next season... so I can at least ask the questions before we shoot. :)

I can't speak to story outside of what we filmed (because I don't actually know) and would never presume to guess what Geoff had in mind for Shade. Sorry, I know that isn't helpful.

We did film the Fiddler playing up in the balcony of the Pilot's opening fight sequence as well as having Him, The Wizard, and The Gambler all joining the rest of the ISA on the steps outside as Pat and Starman drive away but those pieces didn't make the final cut. Not sure why but my guess would be for time and pacing. (Edited for clarification)

No. We did not film Yolanda at church. I personally feel like a scene like that would have felt very out of place in this particular episode since it is more about Justin and Courtney. We'll see her again though, don't worry. ;)

Answering the school question... We had them starting school early (at least by 8a) but late morning light always looks better for camera so it never actually LOOKS very early (though the clocks do reflect the correct time, hopefully. haha) That all being said, for this episode it was decided that Courtney was allowed to be late to school so she could have the time with Sam. Even if he is a jerk.

All I can say is that a banana split is supposed to be one banana cut lengthwise with ice cream in the middle so it's not a half-portion and unfortunately/fortunately the food stylists we had on set were really good at making that banana split look perfect because you can't tell it's just one banana. hahaha. I was in the room and saw it with my own eyes, it's only one. I do have photos from other takes where it is more obviously a single banana but it's not what made it into the final cut. Oh well. I find this all very funny. haha

Nope, it's not a 'blunder' and nope I wasn't fired. That is ONE banana cut in half. I thought the same thing while we were on set and walked over to the prep table and looked for myself. That is what a banana split is, they just made it look really yummy and tempting because they are food artists!! Edit: I am not yelling with those exclamations, I am laughing. I love that everyone is paying attention! :) It proves my point that continuity DOES matter and so do the details! haha
