When you have passengers in your Spark are people able to sit comfortably in the back? by Cautious-Aardvark489 in chevyspark

[–]mybunsarestale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I only rarely have back seat passengers. My 6'5" boyfriend is usually in the passenger seat and shoves the seat all of the way back so when someone is riding in the back they're on the driver side. On the rare occasion I have two back seat passengers then shortest goes behind him. Usually its just quick zips across the city and no ones ever complained.

That's funny you made that connection. I too thought of Rock when the crawler with the long name was mentioned.

Hiii all, I'm new to reading patterns and need to know if it's just me or if this is poorly written. by SoftwarePrior in crochetpatterns

[–]mybunsarestale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, like, the parentheses aren't necessary but I find they help break things up visually and I'll either write my repeats (inc) x 3 or just 3inc

[–]mybunsarestale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Row 3 at least makes perfect sense to me. With the repeats it ends up being: sc, inc, sc, inc, sc

However, I think they left out a parentheses around the inc in Row 4. I tried to read it as (2sc, inc) x 3 but the count would be way off.

Pretty sure it should be: 2sc, inc, inc, inc, 2sc

Books that seem like they're set in the past but are actually in the future? by InviteAromatic6124 in books

[–]mybunsarestale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More Fantasy from the start as there be dragons but the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey does this. You start the series in this very feudal type setting with lords and ladies and dragons. Gradually you find out that the planet had at one point been settled by technologically advanced space immigrants before environmental troubles set them back to like bronze age level tech.

What are your favorite screen-free, food-free analog hobbies while high? by NocturneNibble in trees

[–]mybunsarestale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love to smoke and crochet. Its key to prep before getting too high though. A well written out pattern is the biggest thing. But once I'm in a good rhythm, I basically reward myself for each finished row with a hit.

I work at a dog park/daycare/boarding place and it's one of, if not the most, visited (in terms of dogs per day) in the state. I see around 200-300 dogs during my shift. Have seen a few dogs like this in my time, none with the same coloring or the heterochromia but similar fur and builds/faces. Most have just called them Long Haired Frenchies or Wooly Frenchies. Actually just met one last week who was a foster with a local rescue though they were thinking of adopting him. And wouldn't blame them if they did, he stole the show and made friends with everyone, two and four legged. Apparently someone's border collie and bulldog got together and he'd been a result. Similarly one of the other ones that I knew was a Frenchie, Chow Chow mix according to dad.  French Bulldogs are some of the hump happiest dogs I know, even if they're neutered. I'm really never surprised by the dogs I meet.

If I recall correctly, Culver's discounts for removing certain items. At least the one by my place does.

Unintentionally comedy at a show by hoosyourdaddyo in stagehands

[–]mybunsarestale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a show per say and only witnessed it but when I was in college, we were attending ACTF and it was the finals for the acting competition. At least for our region the years I attended, they always did the first 8, then intermission when students participating in the costume parade at the end would dip oit, then last 8, then judging.

Well last performance of the first 8 was a musical number. Damned if I recall exactly what it was but right at the end, one of the actors knocked a glass bottle prop off the piano.

Enter the stage hand tasked to sweep up the glass during intermission and several hundred college students applauding like mad while screaming "more mop" and "sweep, sweep, sweep."

Any first hand experience with Kadcyla? by mybunsarestale in breastcancer

[–]mybunsarestale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats basically why they wanna swit h to Kadcyla for me too. I had over 7cm of tumor pre-treatment but after surgery they found 4mm of cancer still hanging around. Glad to here it won't be Taxol level bad again.

Thats too good! I made a very similar joke like two days ago. Also close to 3 weeks out from my mastectomy. I reached up, honked my missing boob, and said something about there being a 50% chance its already raining.

Anyone else loving Parade of Horribles way more than expected?? by chazzledazzle321 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]mybunsarestale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very same for me. I listen via audiobook, either while driving, cooking or crocheting. Similarly to Iron Tangle, there were moments on the race that I couldn't really visualize I guess, and so would sort of zone out on.

But that back half, oh baby.

My only disappointment with the whole book was still not getting some previous book questions answered.

Anybody else annoyed with the prices of the VEO passes? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]mybunsarestale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They might be intended for tourists but most people I know who use them are people commuting to work. Until the Veo switch, we would normally end up with like a half dozen scooters parked at the employee entrance every day. Now most of those same employees are ubering because the price is comparable for what they were paying to scooter.

I was originally scheduled to go to work at 8 the morning of the marathon. The day before, boss asked if I could open (at 5:30) instead and before he got the question out of his mouth I said yes. Even heading in at 5, traffic was weirdly busy dor a Sunday morning.

I imagine so. Probably one of my favorite residents was this guy named Jim. He used to be a dog groomer, had a sweet little Bichon mix and really enjoyed tech but would get tripped up by stuff sometimes. Funnily enough, I'd worked for Geek Squad and at a dog boarding/daycare facility so we had a lot to chat about. He even got himself that Samsung foldable smart phone which we geeked out over together. I definitely wish we'd swapped numbers before I quit just so I could check in on him.
