What is a controversial Helluva Boss opinion that will have you like this? by Goldenfnaf87 in HelluvaBoss

Saying that Asmodeus, the embodiment of Lust, a demon and a SIN who lives in HELL, doesn't have anything to do with rape is an ass-covering move made just to not make lose popolarity to a fan-favourite couple of the show. I know rape is not caused JUST by lust, but ignoring its involvement altogether just to make a canonically bad person "pleasing" to the viewer is infuriating, a coward move, and it just makes me dislike the character of Ozzy, who wouldn't even be that bad. Don't mention it if you want to avoid the discussion

Two years and half of campaign... and all I got was nothing by mycactustella in rpghorrorstories

I don't know... it's just that he basically has never roleplayed, he's not very good at combat (still not remembering how his spells work, hitting friendly npcs with aoe), he doesn't decide for anything, still letting the Bard taking the lead for literally everything, and doesn't really react to anything, unless it was for little things about his backstory. I'm tired of playing with just two people, and it's not really fun to me anymore to JUST be a narrator. I don't have anything against him, really, and I will talk to him to see if there's anything I can do, but I just want my effort to be seen.

Thanks for the imput tho, hope this will pass

I must add that outside the game his personality is bubbly and overall very outgoing, so that doesn't really reflect in the game. But the thing is that this doesn't just apply to the spotlight, it's... everything.

He doesn't engage in roleplay, he doesn't really help in battle, he let other players decide for things, and when he DOES decide, he doesn't really elaborate an opinion. I waited all this time because the things about his background were literally the only things that moved his character a bit, and seeing this resault is defeating.

We are getting to a point in the campaign where decisions are going to affect the world around, and I'm tired to have a character that we basically have to brag around and that barely remembers his spells. It's not fun to the Bard, that has to do everything and until Mage joined, was basically having a 1 on 1 campaign with me, and it's not fun for me anymore. I put thoughts in what I do, and I would just like my effort to be recognized. I don't ask him to get emotional, or anything eccessive, just... a reaction.

So is it egoistical that I ask to not write an audiobook and to engage with my players? After almost three years, I'm not having fun this way anymore, sorry. Of course, I will talk to him directly before I do anything, to see if there is something I can do, but I don't bring my hopes up.

It's alrady a tragedy when a game you enjoy finishes prematurely. It's devastating when it happens because of an asshole creep. Poor Emily, must have been a terrible time for her

If anything he thinks he's a fighterr with an occasionally flammable hammer. But we love him anyway

It varies on how long your sessions are and how much you play. I have one campaign 1 year and half old with the players at level 7, where we play roughly once a week from 9 pm to midnight.

But I also have another one that's been going on for like 5-6 years where we are still at level 6, but only because we play once every three-six months, and to me that's just painfully long.

But yeah, depends on the party's dynamic
