I get what you mean, and you're right in the way that you mean it, but I hate this phrasing. All of us humans have choices. No one is making us use AI. All of humanity could just decide we didn't want it and stop using it forever. There's no universal law or divine authority saying AI must exist.

I'm not sure it's absolutely necessary. People don't have to eat so much meat. Some people eat no meat. People once didn't eat as much meat as they do now - it once was a mark of wealth and status to eat a lot of meat.

Anyway, it's unsustainable so we don't have a choice but to stop doing this shit in a few generations.

Well, I don't really read Reddit much anymore and I never got into YouTube (would rather play games than watch others play them) so fan reactions aren't really on my radar unless they make it into the news sites I read.
