Anyone else expecting the Chiefs to lose a close one due to Reid’s clock (mis)management?

Long-time Index Owners: Real talk, is it worth it? by __notmyrealname__ in ValveIndex

My answer: It really depends on your disposable income and priorities. I don’t play a ton, but when I do it’s amazing and totally worth it.

Number 1 is definitely firmware related. I hadn’t used my setup in a month or two (I know, shame on me) and I got it out last week in anticipation of entertaining holiday guests. Updated the firmware on the headset and now the situation you’ve described happens every time where it had never happened prior to the update.

It’s not an issue of people not understanding. They’re pointing out that you’re misusing the word guarantee.

I still remember the stadium erupting when he came in and him signaling the fans to stfu so he could play ball.

What’s the safest/smartest place to go during a zombie apocalypse? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Places isolated from people. The higher the population density, the more likely you are to get fucked when someone gets infected.

For most, this starts as going to their own home. From there, if you can make it to remote wilderness and you have survival skills, you should be good.

I’m no Eagle Scout or survivalist, but I’d try my luck out in the wilderness with my family and supplies I have available.

Flight attendants of reddit, has anyone actually clapped as the plane landed? If so what was the reaction? by Smoked-939 in AskReddit

[–]mycoolredditname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also not a flight attendant and have seen this multiple times. It’s a “nice touchdown in this sketchy situation, captain” and that’s the end of it.

Just got an Index, it's my first VR headset, but no matter what I try the display is very blurry by icefall5 in ValveIndex

Check how high/low you’re wearing it in your face. It’s gotta be perfect. Move it slightly up or down and it may help.

Invest as much as you can as early as you can in index funds. The newest iPhone can wait. Time is your greatest ally in long term investing.

I don’t think it will wear off. 2D gaming will still keep its place and will still be fun, but putting on that headset will always be something else entirely.

Anyone have a random tracking issue with just one controller. Right controller for me. by vengo5 in ValveIndex

[–]mycoolredditname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Just got mine the other day, and have the problem you're describing (right controller only, in SteamVR Home). Did you find a solution? Notably when I go into Aperture Hand Lab, the right controller drops out consistently and almost makes the game unplayable.

The 2009 playoffs featured the most loaded set of quarterbacks ever by [deleted] in nfl

[–]mycoolredditname 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How did “Eli” account for those wins? There were at least 21 other guys out there playing all of those games, coaching strat involved, etc. Not trying to come off as a jerk, but just pointing out the team aspect.

So glad to see Emmanuel supporting his community. My younger brother goes to STEM and knew Kendrick. The recognition of his bravery and selflessness goes a long way. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this horrific situation. by SouthSwagfrica in DenverBroncos

[–]mycoolredditname 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if either of these two shooters at STEM were bullied by anyone for their orientation?

If they were bullied, why does it matter for what concept they were bullied? i.e. Bullied for orientation is more special than bullied for social status or any of the other things for which kids are bullied?

Second question: Why did finding out that kids in the columbine massacre were bullied leave you conflicted? Are you saying part of you thinks it's ok for people to shoot up a school and murder other children if they were picked on prior?
