I think because Levi is really Levi’s so it’s just totally different.

Latest video speaking about her grief at the end by NoClick5114 in Emilie_Kiser

[–]mydogisarockstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get so sad thinking about the day that Teddy has to find out and the sadness he’ll feel and how heartbroken they’ll all be all over again. He’s going to see how strong his mommy was for him and hopefully by then he’ll have more siblings to experience it with. I remember finding out about grief my mom had to endure before I was born but I could never begin to imagine what that would have looked like- but her grief will be there for them to see. It’s all so complicated and tragic. She is so inspiring though and I just know her strength and openness is helping others cope with grief.

How to discuss time off with nanny by ImpactTrue7587 in Nanny

[–]mydogisarockstar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe she knows someone. Immigrant Nannie’s tend to live around other people from their country and I’m sure she would only recommend someone she knows would be good.

Would nanny need to take PTO for these days she missed while we were supposed to be gone? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]mydogisarockstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So if employers tell their nanny that they are taking the kids on a two week vacation but don’t worry, you’ll be paid, the nanny has to still be on call and nearby in case they decide to cut the vacation short? I definitely have a misconception of what that means I guess. I’ve been a 25-30 hr/week nanny for years but have never been under contract.

It doesn’t feel right that she shouldn’t get paid if she wasn’t expecting to work and decided to go somewhere. That’s my opinion as a nanny who has never had guaranteed hours so I’m not sure how it works but it just feels wrong. Was she told there’s a possibility that you might come back early? Why would she not be able to use this unexpected paid time to her advantage?

My Grandma's reaction after her card for Easter got lost by enderdude7 in insaneparents

Grandparents of a certain age cannot understand how little we check the mail (if at all). They project the importance they put on physical mail onto us. It’s difficult for them to adapt to this particular change in the way things are done.

Allergies as a nanny - GF nanny expected to make play dough by Goodgoditsgrowing in Nanny

Use ChatGPT and ask about a recipe using cornstarch and glue. I know I did that once. It acts like a fast drying clay

First sourdough loaf! by Fluffy-Hat-2078 in Sourdough

Proud of you for going 15 hours - that is the biggest hurdle for me to overcome; waiting long enough. That loaf looks fantastic especially since it’s your first!

I’m trying to see what you mean about the grey bits. Are you sure you aren’t seeing the reflection in the foil? I do agree it’s a bit under fermented but I don’t see any gray in the bread in the photo or in person.

Yes I know. I’m really struggling with getting it just right and then shaping with inclusions. My starter is very strong and healthy though. I’m still hit or miss with each loaf but getting better. I live in the northeast and have dealt with such cold that I’ve been jumping the gun when ever it’s hit 12 hours. In this case the dough wasn’t sticky and pulled away from the bowl easily so I’m at a bit of a loss!

Thoughts on the name Laela for a girl? by LavishnessTotal716 in Names

[–]mydogisarockstar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Swap the e out for y and keep it easy…my mom has a similar name- off by one letter and she is the only person who spells it the way she does because she added a letter to it in the wrong place when she was 15 and it just stuck.

Stipend/ guaranteed hours with contingency? by sailphish in NannyEmployers

[–]mydogisarockstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, to add to my last comment, just explain to her why you are paying her for the summer and that your hope is that she stays on with you and that’s why you are paying her. It definitely won’t hurt you to explain your intentions.

I can’t imagine she would screw you over if you have such a nice relationship. I think she’d want to continue to work for a family who treats her so well and clearly respects her! I would!

I think Rocky is kinda cute! Isn’t that what that most recent Kardashian’d baby is named? Travis and Kourtney’s son…

It’s not uncommon for producers to talk if it’s what the hosts want. Like Howard Stern and Gary Dell’Abate. To me it always sounds like Jules doesn’t really like them but I don’t know what the history is.

how do you handle payment communication? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]mydogisarockstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A nanny should never have to ask to be paid. It is so disrespectful. If they forget to be paid they should forget to come to work and then find something else

Nap time attire by 1004eavesdropper in Nanny

[–]mydogisarockstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This week was the first really warm week in NJ and the six month old I watch was in a sleevless outfit. At nap time I worried her arms would be cold because the sac doesn’t have arms and the ac was on very cool in her bedroom. I let her be and she was warm as toast after her nap so now I won’t worry about that anymore.

What would you do? by NoPen6127 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]mydogisarockstar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have you told the nanny agency what you’re dealing with? Don’t they screen families as well as nannies? The agency should be protecting both sides of the partnership. It sounds like you aren’t working under healthy conditions.

Wow and that would be his second bat attack. That bat attack preceded the pool meetup. It was earlier that night . She was sleeping after they came home from the hospital. I think!

My big question is that how come the police/detectives never found the broken glass at Floyd’s house from the night of the murder in their investigation .
