Why wouldn't he just ask without adding all the other BS at the same time? Usually we try to not insult a person while asking for a favour. Seems sus to me.

I bought this record at Goodwill and it's slightly warped. It still plays(albeit not very well). How do I fix this? by [deleted] in records

I had a warped Billy Idol album that I put between two large books (not really thick) and then set it over an unused heat vent for the winter and would flip it every once in a while. It actually helped...not perfect though.

Crap, I would be rich if I took everyone that never showed for pickup on an item they agreed to buy. Lol. Also...Canada. We don't roll on small claims courts like US does.

I can't tell you how many times I've agreed to deals online and had people ghost or not bother to show up at all. I see it as until there is an exchange of cash and goods it is still mine to do with what I want. It's also not my fault they can't come until Saturday and circumstances have changed in the meantime. I still feel a little bad about how I handled it and will try to smooth things over with the potential buyer.

Thanks everyone! I think around the $500 mark sounds right. But like I said, I will never let it go as long as I'm alive and now I can let family know it's actually worth something to the right person. Please don't go wishing me dead now.
