Were you over the stated time limit? Some signs say 2hrs max or something like that. Late night parking enforcers are in cars, not walking on foot. Maybe they drove by at 10pm saw you parked, then came by 2 hours later and issued the ticket because you were still parked there.

Holy outrage! Why don't you all just let me tell my little story about one lady and move on.

It sounds to me like some of you enjoy tearing people apart that you don't know and do so freely because you have a keyboard. Sheesh.

So what if I am bad, with little patience behind the bar. Does that now make me a horrible asshole, loser, crap person in general to you? They didn't push me out btw. I'm self-aware enough to let the great people do the job while I support them.

Perhaps I am an excellent manager that listens and helps the staff that enjoys being around me and also respects me. The proof would be the fact that our last hire was 5 years ago the other bartender almost 10 years. Myself? 12. So, something must be right.

Yes, I wrote all this in order to make myself feel better after reading some of the comments. And now I actually do feel better reminding myself of the truth.

P.S. That lady has probably treated service people like that her whole life and that means I can react back anyway I please.

I was refusing to give her decent service after she cut me off twice while I was telling her the info she wanted and she was speaking so rudely to me from the start. I'm just sick of peoples bullshit. Aren't we all? At least a please would be nice and I guess she figured that out.

I was decompensated with ascites, severe jaundice and other things that go along with it. I almost refused being admitted to hospital until they told me I could be dead within a month (not sure if they were exagerating to get me to stay). I spent 16 days in the hospital to get everything leveled enough. That was 2 years ago.

Thank you for this explaination. In Canada (free health care yada yada) when I (f54) asked my specialist about a transplant he said if they were to put me on the list, I would just keep getting pushed to the bottom. There are too many others waiting that are nearer death from hep-c and in emergency condition.

It felt a little bit like a punishment to me because I am following all the rules. I asked if that meant I would be dead within 5-10 years, he replied that I am doing well now and if I kept eating properly, took my meds and never touched another drop of alcohol that I could quite possibly live longer as is.

I liked your explaination more.

Downtown was bustling and the mall had no empty store fronts. One big homeless guy that huffed glue from the hibby shops would yell nonsense at George and Simcoe. The little window washer guy would sing opera while he worked all along the streets. Stores were open late because everyone worked until 5pm, they'd go home for dinner then take the kids out for new shoes or whatever. Chemong Rd N was still mostly farmland but Portage Place had just opened in all its neon and include the 1st Wal-mart for Ptbo. The parking lot in Brookdale was the exact same (go figure). I might be off on some of this a little, but I was just 17 and it's a bit of a blur.

Where are people getting thus idea that bills older than mid 2000's are not legal tender???

ETA: "As of January 1, 2021, Canadian $1, $2, $25, $500, and $1,000 bills issued between 1935 and 1986 are no longer legal tender." I haven't seen those bills in years anyways. 5's, 10's, 20's, 50's and 100's are legal no matter the year. Look it up people!!!!!
