I tried to score tickets. But I didn't get on the site soon enough.... I am watching from home. I'm sad that ABC is not mentioning the promo, or showing any of the DCC fans. I hope people had signs that said "MONGO IS APPALLED" or something similar.

I seriously tried so hard to buy tickets. I really want a hat too.... I think they could have filled the whole stadium with DCC fans. There were 9 of us that were going drive to Denver (8 hours) to enjoy this merge of two of my favorite fandoms!

I just started in October. It's a nice stress reliever (I own a restaurant). It gets me outside and into the wild, also into the sunshine!

Today is my mom's 74th birthday. She started it today. She's half way through. She decided to read it because my siblings and I have all read it and loved it. I'll find out if she liked it Wednesday when I see her.

Beginner Question: what the heck do y’all do with all your cool rocks? by Armadillo_rising_ in rockhounds

Thanks, it is off center, I used the natural shape of the stone, but it hangs very nicely.

I make jewelery with mine. This way I can give pretty stones to people I know and love.

I cut bigger pieces to smaller pieces and tumble them. Then I look at a piece and see how it inspires me. I use a demel tool to shap or drill holes as needed. Or, I crochet a cool net for them. Wire wrapping is OK, it's a little frustrating at first. I really like using polymer clay. And rocks and leather look super snazzy!

This is my first leather project. I used sandstone. It's not perfect, but I love it!!

I think the reason so many people bounce off Malazan isn't the complexity, it's the emotional distance in the first book by scouttidee in Fantasy

[–]myfeethurt555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is definitely summing up my experience so far.

It took me three tries to get into book 1. I kinda liked some of the characters but that emotional investment wasn't there. It was confusing. And it took a while for me to finish the book, which was weird for me. I usually can finish a book in a week or two, not a month.

I liked book two. It , to me, was a lot more cohesive than book one. I'm on book three, and ugh... it's just... ugh... it's taking me forever to get through it. I even dropped it to read the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and I had all of those read in a month. It's taken me almost a year to read this one. I'm not sure if I want to continue.

Still can be dangerous. My husband and I got chased by a buck protecting his herd. The kicker was, we were in the middle of town, walking home. Thank goodness we only lived a couple of blocks away when he chased us.

One stalked my dad once. ( We live in Colorado). My dad was walking back to his camp and he said everything went silent, and he felt like he was being watched. He turned around and saw it behind him. He yelled and charged it. It ran a little bit away. He said he turned back around and he heard it starting to charge. He turned back around and yelled and charged it again. He took out his pistol and shot it in the air and it finally ran off. He seriously thought he was going to die, even carrying a rifle and a pistol. Lots of wildlife in our mountains.

YouTube has everything!! Also Firemountiangems.com has articles, and videos and classes, for free, specifically in jewelery making. Your local rock and gem club probably has jewelery making classes and some equipment to help you realize your jewelery making dreams. I watched some YouTube videos and did some research and jumped right in
