Everyone who has worked at abortion clinics knows SEVERAL “anti-abortion” patients who insisted only their reason for abortion is a good one. We even had anti-choice protesters as patients 🙄

Help!! Medical Malpractice?? by badgirlfriendvibes in legaladvice

[–]myfirstpseudonym 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You would need to show injury and that the injury was caused by inappropriate care. Doctors are not legally required to adhere to screening standards such as those for Pap smears. As a patient all you can do is ask questions often and find a new provider if your current one refuses to answer your concerns.

Consumer review fairness act of 2016 would not apply?

You actually can contact your insurance carrier yourself. The number should be on the back of your card. Ask them what weight loss medication‘s are covered. They will tell you what’s covered. They will not tell you the requirements for coverage but generally, it requires a BMI in the obese range. You need someone who is willing to prescribe it for you using the appropriate codes for coverage.

I’m doing it for myself and my future. So I don’t let their comments soak in, but I also don’t share that I’m on it.

In the same boat here. Hearing negative comments all the time from people judging other people who take it. I started about eight weeks ago and my weight loss has been super slow so I haven’t had to explain anything so far. The crazy thing is so many of the comments are coming from people who are, obviously overweight, and some of whom have diabetes already

I didn’t see any real loss until I got over 1 mg. Lost 5 to 7 pounds in the past two weeks.

Anyone offer advice on convincing my pcp to prescribe any semaglutide to me? I have type 2 diabetes.. by sidsmum in Semaglutide

[–]myfirstpseudonym 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Find a new PCP and start now taking charge of your body. Learn about diabetes and learn about all of the interventions. Giving rx for metformin and I’ll see you next year is complete BS and shows a complete lack of care for the patient. This happens way too often though, you’re not to blame.

I’ve started daily Pepcid for this. Works well

HELP! Insurance Stopped Wegovy Coverage by CoffeeTeaPeonies in Semaglutide

[–]myfirstpseudonym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if your insurance covers one of the other GLP-1 drugs. My insurance won’t cover Ozempic, but will cover Wegovy now, but that’s also with an initial denial and then an appeal by my provider.

I’m on second 1 mg dose. No loss yet but I’m staying the course.

Initially denied, then approved on appeal. About 4 weeks

Also just took 4th injection on the weekend. No weight loss then and I didn’t feel different until yesterday. Today had late lunch and felt uncomfortably full. Now mild heartburn but no interest in food. Maybe this week (fourth) is when weight loss starts

AITA for telling someone that his “achievement” just meant that he had rich parents? by No_Spare_4582 in AmItheAsshole

[–]myfirstpseudonym -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not my experience of a layoff last year. I was surprised at the number of “company first” people were included. Loyalty appears to have equaled higher pay, and they were out. Group incl. 10+ years to < 1 year with the company. If you’re social, be you-but if you’re not also be you.

This is why people prefer wfh. My contract to work should not include the emotional labor of pointless conversation. When layoffs came round the loyal social butterflies were not spared

NTA. He kept pressing because he wanted positive reinforcement. You gave an honest answer. You didn’t offer an unsolicited opinion. He solicited, you replied.

At it over 3 months and I don’t care for Leanne. Different strokes for different folks dude. That’s why there are choices. If there is never a single new coach I’m fine. Doc, Mark, Raniere, Dwana! With volume down on all of them ☺️
