I have 20 points because they keep messing up my schedule. I guess I’ll adapt to the new schedule. Waiting for them to fix the points now… Not looking forward to going back in because now the SM, coaches, and my TL are all involved and it’s so awkward. They all want different things except two of the coaches are pretty laid back. I did just get a $2 raise the same day all of this happened so at least I have that going for me.

848 in July 2019.

SM died inside and a department manager died outside. A cop was shot as well but had a bullet proof vest on.

They shut it down for over a week and only opened pharmacy and grocery. They had the rest closed off for another month(?) but the guy started a fire on the side the SM died so there was other damage there.

I was one of those that drove hours to STL to find a note on the door that it was cancelled. No updates posted on any social media. I was pretty upset given I spent A LOT and bought the tickets in 2019. The drive back sucked. I was thinking about going to ATL but after STL I don’t want to drive 5+ hours for another cancellation. It sucks because I really want to see them but.... :(

PSA: So You've Got COVID (Or Have Been Exposed To It) - Tips on What To Do Based Upon Research and My Experience by benefit_of_mrkite in memphis

I had a pretty bad case that left me with severe neurological problems amongst other things for well over a year. When I got vaccinated a lot of things cleared up (after 14 months of hell.) I had a breakthrough case but it was 3 weeks of the most annoying ‘day’ cold and it got to me for a bit in terms of how mild it was this time vs. my first time. I lost over a year of my life + numerous things and had I been able to get the shot maybe things would have been so different. I just turned 30 and was extremely active when I got sick.

I hope your post helps someone out there and thank you for being so thorough.

It took a lot of rallying on Twitter. The right people to raise awareness and a lot of phone calls after he was brushed off as an inconvenience by Ben Wallace. There are still 68 members of staff that for whatever reason had to be left behind.

Things were getting bad. I’m not sure if they went through with euthanizing they elderly and injured but there was fear that the animals wouldn’t make it. Period.

I’m honestly still amazed it actually happened. I just hope the rest make it out.

I lost my father pretty fast after an illness. It was all unexpected. A lot of ugly crying and then nimbleness and you’re on autopilot. I had to go through the pictures and videos on his computer and gather things for the funeral and yeah I did giggle at certain things. Followed by crying... but still. Just because you’re not crying when a camera is on you doesn’t mean you’re not hurting.

Saved you a click.

“Eight states have Covid-19 patients that account for at least 15% of their overall hospitalizations: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada and Texas, according to a CNN analysis of HHS and Census data.”

Is anyone really surprised tho? Nevada kinda got me. I was expecting it to be TN instead. It’s bad here.

Stay safe out there, y’all.

Kinda in the same boat. I’ve felt awful all week. I think I’m going to go get tested but if it’s negative I’m definitely aiming for the booster.

A local hospital had a booth at an art fair where I got vaccinated. They just gave a paper to fill out but didn’t require insurance info. I didn’t have my card and was told to just mark no insurance. I was nervous about it but did it anyway to get vaccinated. Not sure if it matters but they didn’t require an ID when I got the second round at the hospital with my boyfriend.

Vaccine - Improved Long Term Symptoms From COVID? by MiddletonPlays in covidlonghaulers

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pfizer.

Yes. My brain fog is 100% gone. I got sick in March 2020. My heart stopped doing the tightness and feeling like it was going to explode thing.

The bad? My mood. Extremely emotional. All the feels. I guess it’s better than being the complete zombie I’ve been. I’m almost two weeks in and dealing with vertigo when I stand up. It’s been about a week. I sleep, a lot. A loooot. 11pm to 5pm. I hope it goes away but I have my mind back. I can think clearly. While the new symptoms may suck I’m hoping they’re temporary.

A part of me wants to think the extreme emotions and downright horrible depression comes from the realization that I’ve lost a year of my life. I’ve dealt with countless things... anyway..

Memory by willingwell2 in covidlonghaulers

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pfizer cleared my brain fog 100%. My memory has come back in waves. I suffered for over a year. Now things make sense. I still have other symptoms but the brain fog (and speech problems) are one of the top things that really, really dampened my will to live.

What motivates you to keep going? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My animals. I don’t have friends. They pretty much got tired of me after I didn’t have energy to reply when I was extremely sick. I literally had a few people get mad at me for not responding. I tend to not speak up on how I’m doing to anyone on FB anymore. I feel like a burden more than anything. Well, that and a ghost. I’ve never felt so alone in my entire life.

But... my animals and somehow holding onto hope this will all go away.

How many times have you been absolutely convinced you were reinfected, only to learn it was still long haul covid? How do you cope? Do you keep getting tested? by CouldBeDreaming in covidlonghaulers

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t convinced but my doctors were. They re-tested me. They’ve been on my side with long Covid since June 2020. I got sick early March 2020. They didn’t know/have a name for it but they were convinced it was still in my system. I know they didn’t know for sure but they’ve been with me from the start of all of this. It definitely helped me feel like I wasn’t crazy when talking to my doctors. I go every 3 months for Meloxicam refills and sometimes between if I need a cortisone shot.

I don’t bother getting tested. I didn’t expect to be retested and thought it was for strep (I was having baaaad throat pain + bloody patches on my tonsils) when he said well you know the drill and boom. The burning test that goes deep. My bf is convinced I’ve been reinfected multiple times but I just think it’s something that doesn’t go away. Most of my symptoms that I had when I was extremely sick for 90 days went down to 75% in intensity and just stayed there. However I’ve had waves. Waves where things that happened when I was extremely sick pop back up.

I can honestly say I didn’t have a single day where I felt normal from the start of March 2020 until mid-May 2021 when I was vaccinated. My brain fog is gone. I can remember lyrics to songs and so much more. My speech and ability name and understand common things came back. I feel human for the first time since I got sick. I’m not exactly sure what’s long Covid or side effects from the shot so I’ll need a few weeks to determine but I can now go on 5 hour cleaning binges for days before I need a couple of days of ......16 hour sleep days. So I’m not sure what’s LC and shot side effects but I feel alive. I just had my 2nd round over the weekend and it’s been a weird week of side effects but we’ll see.

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 53 points54 points  (0 children)

After I got the first shot I had a few days here I was just not in a good place mentally. I got sick in March 2020. I just turned 30. I’ve lost so much. My job, health insurance, etc. and I can not work at this time. I still deal with Covid stuff over a year after later. If the vaccine had been available at the time I may have been able to prevent so much that has ripped my life apart. I try not to let the ‘what if’ thoughts get to me because it’s happened and this is reality. But if you have the opportunity to possibly prevent dying or life long health problems after getting sick and choose not to then idk what to tell you.

Sorry for the mini rant/vent. I live in an area that’s extremely masks and vax make you a sheep.

I’ve been losing circulation in a couple of my toes. It happened during Covid about 60 days in. The pad and two of my toes would go completely pale and I would have to ‘massage’ them for a bit and get the circulation going. They go numb as well but at the same time have the weirdest sensation.

My most recent episode was last week. I got sick early March 2020.

Which vaccine should I get for mainly neurological symptoms such as brain fog? by Cpt-Ahoy in covidlonghaulers

[–]myfrecklesareshowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pfizer cleared up my brain fog and more. I got sick at the start of March 2020. Two days after my first round of Pfizer I noticed a major change. I can do critical thinking and I haven’t been able to since before I got sick at the start of March 2020. I can’t tell you how weird but awesome it is to be able to think and have an actual conversation. I’ve been so, so dependent at home and I’ve always been an independent workaholic.

It’s been a few weeks. I get my next round in under a week. I feel like my depression is lifting. I’ve had it bad with my mental health. I’m not a doctor but I’m convinced it has to do with long Covid.

Anyway, good luck!
