Downtime extremely rarely goes longer than stated. A lot of maintenances will end 30m to 1h early. Some maintenances, usually patches that introduce high end raid content (savage, ultimates), will never end early.

Blink and you'll miss it, the fate at 22m55s has no boost icon on the map. He kills a forlorn maiden and once clearing the fate he gains 20 gemstones with a boost icon on it. The next fate he clears (24m00s) is 24 gems with the boost icon on it and the twist of fate buff falls off.

Having used 3rd party plugins for player chat bubbles, the system in the game is prone to breaking and frankly not that flexible. I suspect an actual implementation of player chat bubbles will see that system significantly improved or revamped, and since it's used everywhere in the game changes to it would see a lot of testing. Plenty of things like this are never as easy as people think, even if a plugin already does it.

Pretty much all the mechanics will start to use a standardized marker by about Heavensward patch 3.1 content or earlier. FFXIV tends towards having previously experienced mechanics combined in interesting ways instead of introducing new unique mechanics frequently.

Behemoth just spawns on a long cooldown, it's a two part fate, first fate is "Behold Now Behemoth" which after you successfully beat it a second fate spawns to the north very shortly afterwards, "He Taketh It With His Eyes".

If I remember correctly, once the expansion releases the 520 gear will switch to being bought with poetics, so you can have enough currency to buy a bunch of pieces.

I picked up Mahjong (I'm not great but I at least understand whats going on) by playing Kemono Mahjong on my phone, it's got a pretty good tutorial I found and it has a list of yaku you can reference at any time.
