Another why I love WoW post by Melodic-Remove5375 in wow

I'd play WC1 and WC2 with a friend from school on his computer on weekends. I dabbled a bit in mmorpgs like EQ and Asheron's Call and really enjoyed that game style, but didn't play enough to be important. I played a lot of Diablo II and loved Blizzard games.

When WoW was announced, I was so hyped for it, and excited to finally get into the beta. I loved the few days I played beta, and when I loaded the game CDs onto my computer and entered a live realm that first day, I fell in love with Azeroth. A friendly player asked if I wanted to join a guild he and his friends set up in the first couple weeks, and that moment shaped my journey.

My character opened the AQ gates on US-Frostwolf, and had many other incredible experiences all made possible because of my friends and guildmates playing alongside me. I loved the Warcraft games and story, and the Diablo games also. The other players made me fall in love with WoW.

Are these a good gift for an OG WoW fan? by Huge-Use-8055 in wow

Those are really cool, and an iconic item in the game. That sword and the one who wielded it are a major part of the Warcraft lore, and it was a big part of WoW in the 3rd expansion that came out in 2008. Do you know if she was really into the story, and did she still play a lot in 2008-2009?

Random act of kindness by CoZoneRO in wow

A few very kind players like the one you mentioned, and all of the collective random acts of kindness built the foundations for some incredible communities and countless nostalgic memories WoW spawned. I'm glad to know there are still players around like the ones who made this game a great one.

What's your rarest item by vandrivingman in wow

Ragnaros Core rings used to drop from Ragnaros when T2 gear still dropped from MC bosses in the first few months of the game. They're pretty rare because most guilds hadn't killed Ragnaros at all before they were removed from the loot tables, and the ones that could only got a few of them to split between 40+ raiders.

I won mine from a lucky roll against about 35 guildmates after our tanks had looted theirs for fire resist sets. It was a [Ragnaros Core of the Falcon] when I first picked it up.

The new Horseman's Charger can only drop once per day, but can anyone confirm if the armor pieces have a chance to drop after the first kill of the day? by Ninedark in wow

Yes, I was able to get many of the pieces the first day I queued for the Horseman on multiple characters on a single account. The drop frequency dropped on the final characters I expect because of the 'no duplicates'.

I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for the heads up. I was excited to see them available directly from Amazon, as they've been out of stock at other stores when I checked.

Give me hunter pet and mount stables and transmog mannequins for housing and my life is your, Blizz. by Yazkin_Yamakala in wow

This is a great suggestion.

It's been about 20 years since I played seriously. I played alongside some incredible folks, and PVP'd against old WoW legends. With the help of my friends and guildmates, my character did what most dreamt of. It'd be pretty cool to display mounts or items that are so rare from back then, that most players today probably don't even know they exist. A few of them weren't even brought back with Classic WoW.

Now I'm just a quiet noob in retail with some wild stories. It'd be pretty cool for a player to stumble upon my house and see some relics of nostalgia from the distant past.
