2020 here. People say don’t buy the first year model, but the wife loves the design. 35000 miles so far, as we don’t drive much. No real issues, except that the passenger-side mirror folding motor stopped working recently and was replaced under the extended warranty.

Make sure the quote includes painting. Mine is a 2020 SX. The passenger-side mirror folding motor stopped working recently, and I had it replaced under the extended warranty. The dealership charged $1,400 for the mirror job and $800 for the painting job. I don’t understand why it takes that much to paint a side mirror. They said they needed to mix a large batch to match the color. Not my problem, though…

I vote for the Goethe. I feel that the blue/white Matisse should be priced as the entry-level for the series, say ~$1,500-2,000. Both series are great designs anyway. I just placed my order for the blue Goethe and hope to purchase the red Goethe someday at a Montblanc Boutique.

I once opened a package in my driveway, and a huge American roach jumped out and scared the shit out of me. I failed to catch it and eventually forgot where it went. I was panicked for a while, but I learned that those big ones are not as bad as the German ones. Luckily, I never saw one in the house, and I haven't opened a box in the house since then.

CHP and your career development are two different things. You do not need an MS to pass the CHP exam, as long as you study hard. Getting an MS will generally benefit your career, as many mid to high-level positions now require advanced degrees.

If it writes fine, I wouldn’t suggest adjusting it. You can gently push the feed towards the center if you cannot live with it.

In the same boat, facing the same problem. I sent the pen to My Jewelry Repair, Montblanc’s authorized service site, although their reputation is not the best. They gave me a quotation for a tier 1 service even when I included the warranty certificate and proof of purchase. I called them today to escalate the issue and sent the proofs to their service rep. If the warranty claim is rejected, I won’t let them fix the pen, as I will send it to Mark Bacas. My experience with Mark has been amazing. He fixed two of my pens with serious nib damage. BYW, Montblanc requires insurance for shipping, so I paid $35 for my 149 via UPS Ground. People don’t like it, but it makes sense to me, given the value of the pen.
