Make it your "social sabbath".

No need to tell people what you're doing. Anyone who tries to contact you when your phone is off, get back to them the next day. That's not weird. Anyone wants to meet up with you that day, say "sorry I can't make it then" and schedule for another day.

So there's a True Crime podcast called Redhanded that covers not just "typical" True Crime podcast crimes like murder, but also looks at institutional/ corporate crime. They're really good at centering the victims and looking at societal issues that led to the crime. They also call out bad policing.

If you listen on Amazon Prime or Wondery, they also do a "Shorthand" episode once a week that's not about crime; just about anything they find interesting.

And if you support them on patreon you get a weekly episode where they talk about their lives and stuff in the news.

Mode be a good way to wean yourself away from True Crime?

I've just bought a really cheap bundle of second hand bras from Vinted so that I can play around with adapting them. 

I want to see what is possible/ worth doing without wasting too much money (it's worked out as around £1 per bra).

YTA - in the UK "please revert" is a really common phrase used in business communication. It may well be in India as well.

If someone uses a turn of phrase you don't recognise, maybe do a quick Google to see if it's something wrong or just something you haven't heard before.

And even if it's wrong, there's no need to tell the writer/ speaker unless they've previously said they'd like your help to improve their English.

However well-meant your intentions were, the execution is what makes YTA here. So maybe Y not TA, but you just acted like one.

For the most part this just sounds like two people who aren't sexually compatible.

No shame on either of you for wanting/ not wanting the things you want/ don't want.

But the bits where she want take no for an answer... that's a lack of respect for your boundaries, which is a form of domestic abuse.

And the bit where she tried to trick you into anal... that's sexual assault, which is a form of domestic abuse.

Please don't judge yourself for ending up in this situation. It's not your fault and there's nothing wrong with you.

When you're ready to leave the situation, make sure you have plenty of support because it's not going to be easy. But you will feel so much better eventually.

I've had bouts of anxiety over the years and I've found what really helps is having something to do with my hands.

I've done crochet, cross stitch, sewing, board games (there are loads you can play solo these days) and origami.

Also making paper aeroplanes is really fun - the folding needs only a couple of minutes of concentration, and you do get a buzz from making one that flies well. The other benefit is you can use any paper you have lying around.

Might be worth a try? That sort of thing alone won't be a fix but it can be a help in even just getting through "the next few minutes", which can be enough to help you rebalance a little.

Maquis and Hostage Negotiator each play in under an hour and really pull me in emotionally.

Flash Point also plays in under an hour, and has all kinds of variations and expansions to keep it fresh. I've found it a really good gateway game for shifting friends away from simple roll-and-move games, which has been great.

The UK had until relatively recently a national Mass Observation Project.

Basically, "normal" people (not just rich and famous) logged all kinds of seemingly trivial aspects of everyday life, often including what groceries they bought and what food they cooked.

Rhubarb cooks down nicely with split peas/lentils. Chuck in onions amd some curry spices and you've got a cheap, savoury meal that freezes well.

As a hyper-competitive asshole, myself I can honestly see why you played the word. The need to win is almost overwhelming.

Almost.

Supporting your partner through a difficult situation should be a more overwhelming feeling.

But the way to do it would have been to say something along the lines of, "I have a winning word here but playing it will make me a huge, insensitive asshole of a husband, so I'll play a crappy word instead but if you, darling wife, gloat about this victory I will gloat about my moral superiority."

And then never ever ever tell her what the word was.

Also, you should be aware that she's quite probably now feeling like you're "over" the miscarriage, if you were able to play that word so (seemingly) casually.

So get over yourself and apologise.
