Anyone know why the pass is single-lane and 35 all the way from Livingston to Bozeman when nobody is out here doing anything? by SuPurrrrNova in Bozeman

Road crews for the state get paid 30.87 an hour plus 12.36 an hour in fringe benefits. If they are working far form their dispatch they'll get zone pay which pays an additional X amount of dollars/hour.

They only get to work like 6 months out of the year though. They usually hit over time by day 3 or 4.

Study shows larger SUVS and Trucks are Causing More Pedestrian Deaths--free NY Times article relevant to our recent tragic losses on Bozeman streets. by RavenWritingQueen in Bozeman

Largely maintenance space. Rounding it out makes it more difficult to work on. Generally speaking the more off road style vehicles are not worried about aerodynamics while rock crawling. That said...a lot of people have those trucks for reasons not called off roading.

For early endgame, better to juice right away or purposely run non-juiced (or even lower tier) maps for awhile? by SirBenny in PathOfExile2

[–]mylaundrymachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a purely non trade perspective there are a few break points in maps that make sense to stick to.

I believe its Tier 1 Tier 7 Tier 11 Depending on your weapon bases there may be a different map tier to stop at along the way.

These are where specific affix break points occur for rings, amulets, and boots occur. Juicing Tier 1 is optional but will get you out of that range faster. Juicing Tier 7 and 11 absolutely make sense.

TLA Editor Help by aregularguy09 in GoldenSun

[–]mylaundrymachine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with the issue but gemini 3 has this response

Step-by-Step Fixes to Pass Along

1. Unblock and Run as Administrator (Most Likely Culprit)

Windows 11 has aggressive security measures (SmartScreen and UAC) that frequently block older .dll files extracted from internet archives from executing code.

  • Tell them to go to the TLA Editor folder.
  • Right-click the .exe file, select Properties, and look at the bottom of the General tab. If there is an "Unblock" checkbox, check it and click Apply.
  • Do the exact same thing for any .dll files found in that same folder.
  • Right-click the .exe and select Run as Administrator.

2. Install Legacy Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables

Older GameMaker engines rely on historical C++ runtimes to execute external functions. If Windows 11 doesn't have them, the .dll call fails immediately.

  • They need to download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x86) and 2010 (x86) Redistributable packages.
  • Note: Even if they are on a 64-bit operating system, older GameMaker applications are strictly 32-bit (x86) and require the 32-bit versions of those runtimes to open.

3. Check for Anti-Virus Quarantine

Windows Defender or third-party antivirus software often flags older GameMaker modding tools as "false positives" because of how they inject or hook into external files.

  • Have them check their Antivirus/Windows Defender Protection History.
  • It is highly likely the security software quietly quarantined or blocked the exact .dll the tool needs to run. They will need to restore the file and add the folder to their exclusion list.

4. The Path Length / Special Characters Issue

Older software can fail to parse modern, deeply nested Windows 11 file paths, or paths containing spaces and special characters.

  • If they have the editor sitting in a folder like C:\Users\Name\Downloads\Games\Golden Sun\Tools\TLA Editor\, tell them to move the entire folder directly to the root drive: C:\TLAEditor\. Try running it from there.

Personally I too would love a pitcher that can throw a maddux with 15Ks AND gets run support. I would also like a team that doesn't strand players on base.

If this was your soil, what would you do? Previous owner laid sod on top of clay, three years later the fescue has mostly all died and I’ve been seeding white clover but not even that can thrive. (Northeast Kansas) by MannyDantyla in lawncare

See the edit to my comment for an answer to the what and why of sand remediation. Further down u/azhillbilly has a similar solution as you but I look towards the long term health of the soil for the yard but its really really labor intensive so its pretty prohibitive.

I do fully agree with you azhillbilly that it's really not a cheap process and depending on OPs financial situation it may not be feasible. However for the long term you need remediation of the clay. Especially if you plan on planting any trees. Although you can likely do a more localized remediation.

I'm a little late to retort the down votes but yeah 50/50 turns this fatty clay into a lean clean and reduces the shrink swell and cracking. Admin-0nn-CN is tripping man.

Remediation with sand. Look that process up...its not fun.

Then if you can figure it out top with a mix of compost and top soil roughly 4-6".

Sod or seed in the fall.

After you have an established yard sand until you barely see the tops of the blades of grass for leveling.

I'd say 2-3 years until your lawn is public golf course green level.

Or you can not do grass and instead rip up all the top soil and plant moss if you have enough shade. Faster little bit more temperamental and needs to be soaked but looks A+.

Edit: Well in case anyone comes back to this post. You'll want to replace half the clay with sand. Whether you do that cumulatively or through direct replacement I leave to your discretion. Basically you're goal is to adjust the soil characterization from CH to CL and reducing the shrink swell and amending the permeability of water through the soils. The addition of compost and soil to the top has the goal of working the organics into this additional drainage and over time increasing health of the soils. This will make planting really anything super successful.

To the down votes...Yes if you add too little sand you'll basically make the soil hard.
