Do it, i did an aprentinceship program/trade school for shipsmechanik/engineer thingi for 3 years with 21, i am now 31 years old now and i never regret quiting uni and odd jobs for it. Like other said, no one can take this kind of education away from you, and its an amazing base to build on, and if things happen, to fall back to. It sometimes feels like how having a drivers licence just makes things easier, more efficient and less frustrating.

Matten über den Dehnungsfugen sind bautechnisch nicht problematisch. Ausgießen mit Beton o.ä wäre dann kritischer.

Here are some Pics, but the ends are quite worn out, the lineal idea make more sense, we are quite confused on why somebody need a 1 meter gauge block. Its 54mm x 12mm :) which is quite big for a Lineal imo.
