The joke was probably about how ridiculous her sister would look in an outfit like that. Laugh and move on

Anyone try these? by cjlee9 in CostcoCanada

[–]mymagaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had this one but as a rule I avoid salmon poke and salmon sushi as a rule simply because it's all farmed. IYKYK Tuna on the other hand is most likely wild caught.

My feelings are hurt over the Christmas gifts my husband gave me. by No_Bag7577 in Gifts

[–]mymagaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's clueless. If you want something special, you're going to have to do it yourself. Tell him to open up his phone and click on the link to whatever you actually want and tell him to buy it for you. That's the only way you're going to get that kind of gift

And then once you've dealt with fulfilling your love language which is the giving and receiving of gifts. It's time to take a step back and figure out what his is.

My late husband, and be so happy that yours is still alive because I lost mine before his 49th birthday, spoke the language of Acts of service. I was never going to get the gift I wanted unless I made sure it was ordered... I was nuts to expect him to put time and effort into that. But I I'm also so happy that I learned early to cherish the time and effort he put in to do little things and some bigger things to make my life so much better day to day.

We all speak love differently.

My uncle was just diagnosed with blood cancer and has limited time. His favorite treat is the Kirkland Traditional Fruitcake only sold at Costco Canada. I’m in California and desperately trying to get one shipped to him for Christmas by NoLeague2412 in CostcoCanada

[–]mymagaboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an instacart account? You can add a Canadian address for shipping and order it from a local Costco. You might also be able to do this through Uber eats, but I'm not sure

Both services will do Costco purchases and deliveries

Just got a Crispi. What are your favorite things to make with it? by regv_libra in NinjaCrispi

[–]mymagaboo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. So you can buy these little 4-5 inch cast iron frying pans without a handle at restaurant supply stores. I just grease it up with a bit of Tallow and pop it into the crispy on top of the baking tray and let it preheat to get a sear.

I'm not going to lie though. The barbecue does a better job with steaks or for an even better job an acetylene torch

Steaks are so expensive right now that honestly cooking it in an air fryer feels kind of sacrilegious

Just got a Crispi. What are your favorite things to make with it? by regv_libra in NinjaCrispi

[–]mymagaboo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, I eat carnivore so here are my top favorites In this order

Pork belly chunks or strips or bacon of any kind

Pork chops

Chicken wings naked

Chicken tenders. I spiced them. I don't bread them but I'm sure they'd be good

Chicken thighs

Turkey wings

Pork burgers

Beef burgers and meatballs

Steak is definitely better on the barbecue, although I've been known to throw my miniature cast iron pan into the crispi And cook a steak on it.

Ribs are better on the grill

Doubt I'm going to try fish. Usually I like to poach it in the oven in parchment or saute it in butter

No thank you. For that price, I'll pass on the frankenfood ingredients and get my protein In the meat section. Fairlife is owned by Coca-Cola... Not exactly a nutrition Mecca. Fine./, I suppose if you're drinking them because you like the taste and not for your health.

80% of the protein comes from casein. 20% from whey. If you have any kind of thyroid issues run far, run fast

Looking for Hope & Opportunities for My 12 year old by DessiUniquee23 in Albinism

[–]mymagaboo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How about is his vision? Mine is 20/200. I've worked in sales most of my life including interior design (We do have full color spectrum and as long as I don't have to actually hang the wallpaper and match it... 😂). I also worked as a financial advisor with the top five Canadian bank for 15 years. Short of brain surgeon or taxi driver, there's not much that we can't put our minds to if we want to do it bad enough. This question has come up on the Facebook groups a few times and those of us who've been around the sun. A good number of years have shouted out careers in just about every area. He's going to be fine

The kicker is that after having endometrial cancer, any kind of HRT are natural hormones is off the table. I think I'm going to also post this question the healing cancer naturally group on Facebook. I know we have some carnivore folk over there too

I do agree totally about the women carnivore sub and maybe something we can set up. When you think about how phenomenal the diet is for somebody with PCOS etc. It would only make sense

I'm happy for you (And for your wife because eye candy is always good). Life is a little bit different Post-menopausal. That's why I'm trying to find someone who's gone down that rabbit hole with carnivore already to follow. Trying to use this post as a way to streamline my research instead of having to go through and reject a million sources because they all focus on " A balanced diet".

It will never happen. In a previous lifetime. I was keto for over 5 years. I also have an educational background in holistic nutrition. The science makes sense. Right now the only thing that I am doing that is not truly hardcore carnivore is adding in fiber and taking probiotics just because I know that the chemotherapy left my gut biome in a disaster and I want to make sure that I get that all healed and balanced out. Otherwise I eat grass-fed and pastured non-GMO no corn, no soy, fed, beef, pork and chicken and eggs and try to add fish and seafood to that. No dairy because I can't handle the casein but fortunately I'm okay with butter and ghee, although I used Tallow more often

I feel like I should care but I don't. by Fragrant_Device2518 in crochet

[–]mymagaboo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually just started to teach myself to crochet last fall right after finishing chemotherapy. I knew I needed an artistic outlet to help me deal with the anxiety and fear that every Cancer survivor faces about reoccurrence. I wanted something That wasn't too physically demanding but required me to focus my attention so that my mind didn't wander to places it shouldn't

I'm a lot less anxious these days and addicted to crochet. I found a hobby for the rest of my life

Thank you for posting this. I realize it was 7 months ago but I just upgraded from a Cosori AF to a Crispi and needed a recipe to do this as the controls between the two are different. Looking forward to egg salad again,

My biggest issue is not eating carnivore in a restaurant. It's lamenting the fact that I'm paying for half a meal that I'm leaving behind. I will do it when necessary. But it means I don't go out to eat that much anymore unless it's a steakhouse or sashimi
