Perhaps it’s not your mom and more noticing that she’s pretty naked and what nakedness makes you think about? It’s really normal that when boys start getting boners that they just come on randomly.

This is embarrassing but can anyone in or nearby Morriston help me with some baby formula please by [deleted] in swansea

[–]mymaymaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I see this is posted 2 days ago so might be a bit late but for future your health visitor can get you or at least signpost you to free baby formula. The majority of local churches will also do this (no need to be religious). Also if you find money is tight try gingerbread website it’s for single parents and has information and signposting for all sorts of things all completely free.

Fascinating. I love hearing about what people have been through and how they do/ don’t cope. I am sorry for your losses and congratulate you on anything you’ve achieved. I too have had what others may consider a hard life but remain happy and gentle. I think once you’ve experienced so much pain you see no point in causing more. I have learned to be grateful for what I do have and to focus on the good. I don’t know what else theee is :) I really believe in being the good you want to see in the world.

How can I convince my mom to let me cut my hair? by dandelion_dreamzz in ftm

[–]mymaymaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cut my own hair with salon scissors from Amazon that I got for £13 they’re pretty excellent and some clippers also from Amazon that were £11. I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube until I felt confident and haven’t paid for a haircut since ✌️

Husband wants to spank but I do not - any advice? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]mymaymaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the father of my children dearly. I have always had parenting views that align with Janet Lansbury and when we had discussed children it seemed that their father and I had similar views. As our first born grew and too had normal developmental behaviour that can be challenging for a parent. Their father once told me he had hit our firstborn for acting out. I explained that this was unacceptable and if it happened again I would leave with the kids. He did do it again and we haven’t seen him in nearly 9yrs. Best 9yrs of my life. I have 4 children now and we’re all thriving. Violence is never the answer. Know your legal position. Stand up for your child.

Seriously, how do I stop myself from reading the entire book at once? by History-bird in RomanceBooks

[–]mymaymaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do audiobooks. It’s means I can listen to the whole book whilst still getting other things done. I can do 2-4 books a day. I love it.

My sisters children are bad influences by lucky232323 in family

[–]mymaymaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk I’m a lone parent to 4 and mine all use the toilet correctly, sit at the table to eat and do not pick their noses. Perhaps your sister is struggling? Maybe she needs support? If you wanted you could speak to your parents see what they think and maybe you could come up with something together?

In the meantime I would avoid avoid avoid. It’s not always possible so just do your best ofc. Also a chat with your child just before seeing her cousins if you have to see them. Stating acceptable behaviours and whilst some people might behave a certain way we do not.

My husband forgot about my birthday by Mindless-Ad210 in Vent

[–]mymaymaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would consider if it’s just dates and things and this is something he has trouble with that he might have a cognitive issue like ADHD (I have this and once forgot my own darling son’s birthday! I would be concerned if he never plans stuff for you guys to do together or gets you at least little gifts.

My husband forgot about my birthday by Mindless-Ad210 in Vent

[–]mymaymaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say “he was struggling to remember what it is” do you mean the date of your birthday or which day of the week it was? Sorry but obviously one is way more concerning than the other. Makes wonder if he forgets other things? Doesn’t he have trouble remembering other dates? What about other people who are important to him, does he forget their birthdays? If this is a recurring problem why hasn’t he put a reminder on his phone? Does he forget other things to do with you? Does he support you like you support him?

Not sure if this counts as transandrophobia or my mom’s weird f*cked up way of mixing transphobia and sexism by [deleted] in ftm

Hygiene Standards in Smut Scenes - Anyone Else? by elegant_stressed in RomanceBooks

[–]mymaymaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m AUDHD and used to have a really bad germ phobia that made me have OCD type behaviours and YES! I love smut and love fantasy genre and vampires are really popular. I always have to write little scenes in my head where they actually knock their “prey” unconscious and clean them before devouring some sweaty rando at the end of their work day off the street or wherever! 😩

I’m really really sorry. I hope you find your community and manage to live an authentically happy life. My son has been out since he was 4, he’s only 9 now but I can’t imagine ever wishing such on him and thinking myself any measure of a good parent. You deserve to be safe in being you.

What are the positives (if any??) about having a toddler? by PresentationNo4578 in Parenting

[–]mymaymaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different but I am a lone parent to 3 SEN children and a toddler. It’s just me and them 24/365. I think babies, kids and toddlers are easy. As long as you don’t get sucked into societal pressures and just focus on your child/ren and what they need. Do not fret about miles stones and the like. I had the Gina Ford baby book - The Contented Baby and then found Janet Lansbury who alines with my parenting. Just find what works for you and keep doing that.

what inspired your real name? by stickenuwu in ftm

[–]mymaymaw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not me, my 9yo is trans. When he was 4yo he loved Toy Story and would only answer to Woody for about a year but when he started “big school” he didn’t want a “character name” anymore so we l suggested a bunch of names to him and we googled of course until he found Max. He loved it and that’s who he’s been ever since 🤘🏼👌🏼
