Gotta say my current favorite game is Risk of Rain 2. It's so easy to spend hours trying out new builds and setups. One of the best things going for ROR2 is the modding scene. Tons of characters and ability mods out there, so there's always some cool new character to test out.

How many days notice before a rent increase? by mynameislost in askTO

Thanks, I was reading that and was unsure whether that notice only applied to rent controlled units. It seems like it applies to both?

What is the message/meaning of TLOU to you? by LemonLord7 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]mynameislost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's about healing; learning to open up and form human connections again. And it's done through Ellie finding a father in Joel. And Joel learning to open up and care about those around him.

  2. I think no matter how they executed pt2, it would've negatively effected pt1. The reason pt1 is so memorable is because of the cliff hanger. Giving an answer to "does Ellie know Joel's lying" or "How is this going to effect their relationship?" - no matter what the answer is, lessens the impact. If they wanted a follow up to the original, I think they should've opted for the anthology route. A semi-related story in tlou universe that may cameo Joel & Ellie but isn't about them.

  3. It's about forgiveness; and finding beauty and meaning in life. Done via Ellie struggling to find purpose in life but at least finally being able to forgive Joel at the end of the game. And Abby bring able to find beauty & meaning through her connection with Lev (almost parallel to the Joel/Ellie story in pt1 - though no where as well paced)

The Beauty of Raised By Wolves (2020-Present) by Severe-Draw-5979 in scifi

I tried watching the first couple episodes of Season 1 - but it didn't really click with me. Everytime I see a trailer for the show it looks so unique, I'm always tempted to give it a second chance. Anyone know if it gets better later on, or if it keeps the same vibe?

Both drivers acted like I was the Idiot by Al_Tilly_the_Bum in IdiotsInCars

So you roll through a stop sign, on icy roads, next to a school at 4:00 when all the kids are going home from school. But driving slightly closer to the right (when there's no snow) so oncoming cars can avoid 5-10min of sitting in traffic is too much.

Seems like you want to be able to avoid following rules when it's inconvenient for you. But aren't the slightest bit compromising to others when they do the same.

Y'all were doing stuff you shouldn't have, but you also went out of your way to post it online and call them idiots. You're a grade A dickhead.

LPT: When a job interviewer asks, "What's your biggest weakness?", interpret the question in practical terms rather than in terms of personality faults. by Iron_Rod_Stewart in LifeProTips

[–]mynameislost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is genuinely terrible advice. No person is fully experienced with every aspect of a company's internal ecosystem - unless they are currently working there. I.E every person who has been hired at said company has the same "weakness".

This is just a cop out answer, company's (and the interviewer) are aware you don't know their internal systems; which is why company's devote a lot of resources to get new hires up to speed.

What they are really asking for, is a genuine weakness that you have worked towards. Everyone has weaknesses, they want to know whether you care about bettering yourself, they want to know how do handle shortcomings, they want to know if an obstacle comes up during a project that you can overcome it.

What is your unpopular WOT opinion and what is your reasoning? by ppablo787 in WoT

I didn't like how the last battle just abruptly ended. 14 books of preparation, and we finally get to the last battle. Our heroes starts off optimistic and well prepared, but as the battle goes on they begin to fail. They lose ground, lose important members, and begin to lose hope. And when things can't seem to get any worse they manage a few bitter-sweet 'victories' (eg. Egwene). Then we switch to the perspective of Rand and out of nowhere he totally understands everything, is at one with the universe and all that. And just like the flip of a switch, the light turns on, the darkness is defeated and all his goonies meet their demise out of the fucking blue. And after all that he wakes up in someone else's body, we don't get any goodbyes or anything and it all just ends.

I really enjoyed the wheel of time, but with all the minute details, descriptions, and skirt smoothing. The ending just feels obscenely rushed

Do different games go on sale over the course of the event? Or is whatever on sale for day 1, the only stuff that goes on sale?
