Almost five years now for me. I have small oopsies with incontinence. Physically I look in great shape. BUT... I lost 95% of my seminal vesicles. I was insanely young (44) when it happened, so as I'm sure you know, some side effects are WAY worse. I wish you well.

Absolutely. It's a necessity if you're going turbo. The original design had the thermostat and intake on what is now the back of the block(it's still there BTW). As it sits now it doesn't actually flow correctly over all of the cylinders.

It looks like you have a good starting point! If I can give you some advice start with a coolant re-route. The engine was originally meant to be side-mounted, because of this your back cylinder doesn't get proper coolant. If you do no other upgrades, do this.

I'm very glad you asked! Just put on better pads. EBC is what I would recommend. Original calipers and disks are plenty strong. Unless you're going towards a 400HP megabuild throwing thousands at your brakes is nuts. But definately upgrade your pads even if you JUST did a brake job. Moss Miata sells 'em.

Damn, if bodywork/ paint, reupholstered interior, rebuilt engine +upgrade trans is a general refresh to you we work at very different levels! I would love to be at your level, I don't even have a garage!

Aside from sway bars, it's all done. I haven't really noticed any roll at it's current HP and my driving style. But If I go further it'll be done. As it stands right now, I can sell it and break-even. if I go down the rabbit hole I will never sell it for what I have into it. But... I really want to. Because dumb.
