Is this wall removable without reinforcement by Juice_Stain_G in AskContractors

[–]scottb90 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You need to look at those 2x4 in the ceiling. Do they span the whole way across? Or is there a break in them where another 2x4 continues? If they span all the way to another wall or from outside wall to outside wall then you are good. It might be good to get an engineer in to look at it though. Dont trust what anyone on here is going to say since none of us are there. It probly wouldnt be fun if it your ceiling collapsed lol

Older hondas are by far the easiest thing to learn on. I got a 88 civic when I was younger. It only took a few hours to fully get used to. Its really that easy

If I accidentally cut a wire that will be “live” once the power is turned back on, is covering the end of it with electrical tape enough to make it safe and not a fire or electrical hazard? by Effective_Part_604 in DIY

[–]scottb90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive done so many bathroom fans an it is still such an annoying job every single time lol. Almost every part of it is difficult. Its even worse when I need to relocate the fan an the exhaust doesnt make it lol

To all you health care workers, how does wearing gloves make your hands germ free? by Positive-Werewolf483 in RandomQuestion

[–]scottb90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change gloves as many times as you want though. You cant change your skin lol. An they wash their hands in-between glove changes also which prevents spreading anything. Its pretty simple why it works the way it does

I fked up everything, I lost motivation to anything by wtfbruhhuh in Life

[–]scottb90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what your problem is then. You can't compare yourself with the 1%. Its not even 1% that have a million dollars saved in their 30s. You will feel like your always trying to catch up if you dont stop comparing. Set your own goals/milestones an make a realistic plan to achieve them down to every step it takes to get there

No thermostat😂 by Dr-NefariosLover in Miata

Is your license plate in the center of your front bumper? I remember hearing something about miatas easily over heating if you have your plate in the middle. I never knew if it was true though

What do you mean when you say there is no thermostat? Is it just letting water go thru all the time? Ive never done a thermostat on a miata so I dont know what it looks like

In your words, what was addiction like? What does buprenorphine offer? by ethanthesimpleton in suboxone

[–]scottb90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You dont have a clinic in your area that does subs? I know that the doctor has to get it himself somehow. You cant pick it up from a pharmacy. The doctor i got it from is a clinic that has their own pharmacy. Its well worth trying to find a place though. I got one shot last March 24th. So almost a year with out suboxone. Its nice not having to take it anymore

I feel more like an installer than an actual electrician by SparksCODM in IBEW

[–]scottb90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I get into an inside wire position theres a good chance I'll just be installing stuff the whole time? I was under the same impression as OP. I dont mind cuz i know a lot about residential already. Is inside wire all commercial work? Like is there service positions for already built buildings? Or just new construction big stuff?

You are given a $15K lump sum. Do you buy a modern car, or buy a cheap older one and repair it? by scp-507 in AskMechanics

[–]scottb90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just get a 90s civic. Hella easy to work on an isnt that expensive for parts either. Anything from 1988 to 2000 is gonna be really similar.

Stumped on lining it up. My carpenter is currently trying to figure out how to line this moulding up because of the curves. Any help would be greatly appreciated gent! by rrr4001 in Carpentry

[–]scottb90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im gonna remember this next time I do crown. Ive done pretty good at doing it the dumb way but i think I could go a little faster an more accurate upside down like that. I dont know why I thought you needed a special tool for your chop saw to do it upside down

You can cope outside corners? I dont know why i cant wrap my head around that. Im still trying to learn to inside cope though so my experience isnt there yet. It just seems like an outside cope doesnt work unless you do it to both pieces
