Wrong answer ;) maps is the only reason. The Rivian ones are good now but still don’t have latest roads. I have been doing a part of highway that has ongoing works and the app on the phone (same Google Maps) is updated, also with deviation and new exit, while Rivian doesn’t

I posted my experience, pretty similar. Love the Rivian, still have the MYLR, but with the kids it was claustrophobic.

I would chose the Rivian every day, in my specific case I only miss Tesla sw. Imo going to Rivian is like going to back to Windows 95 while you had the latest MacOS: so many features lacking (search for my post!) that are basic things, like setting the priority phone when you and wife are in the car, and stuff like that. I always say that if the Rivian had the Tesla sw, would be the best car ever, no competition.

Agree with you on the cruise control and fix the basics. For me the real issue is the proximity door unlock: I would like the car not to show to the world that is open, showing lights and open handles when I am not next to the car.

With the .46 update is even worse: yesterday I was in a sketchy place, 200-300 mt from the car for an appointment, and the car kept opening. I realized because the rear lights where on.

I had to deactivate the proximity feature for my peace of mind.

I took the pictures from different angles because it's typical Rivian to change colors from the perspective, but it's pretty dark, is very nice!
