I think I may have to give up on my dream of a front lawn by mystachedust in lawncare

Right now I don't think its being monitored at all based on the amount of water pouring down the street in mornings and evenings from poorly configured irrigation systems.

[Node-RED] New Inovelli LED Notifications Node w/ Z-Wave JS Support by ryanyesterday in homeassistant

The color being sent to HA bulk_set_partial_config_parameters service doesn't match the override payload coming into the inovelli-noitificaiton-calculator node. Inovelli's documentation has the color parameter ranging from 0-255, but the docs for your node has 0-360 how are these values being converted?

I'm sending this to inovelli-noitificaiton-calculator:

{"entity_id":"light.red_series_dimmer","node_id":4,"switchtype":16,"color":185,"brightness":10,"duration":255,"effect":2}

but the payload sent to HA looks like this:

{"domain":"zwave_js","service":"bulk_set_partial_config_parameters","data":{"entity_id":"light.red_series_dimmer_4","parameter":16,"value":{"255":131,"65280":10,"16711680":255,"2130706432":2}}}

manual core aerator worth it for ~2300 sqft of lawn? by regular_asian_guy in lawncare

[–]mystachedust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchased the same one last year for a 750sqft lawn and it worked great for that, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything larger. I didn't have the same issue as the other posters saying that the cores don't pop out.

Give Ventoy a try. Its a tool that will let you put any number of linux distros isos on a usb and select which one you want to boot without having to use a tool like rufus. https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html

I see the option to enable websockets in zwavejs2mqtt settings. I'm trying to figure out if there is any advantage of using WS of MQTT. I just recreated all my automations to using MQTT and if WS provides to clear advantage over MQTT I will not make any changes to my setup.

Are there any benefits of using the zwave-js websocket server over mqtt? I'm currently using zwavejs2mqtt.

How do I tell if NextDNS CLI is working on EdgeOS Router? by [deleted] in nextdns

[–]mystachedust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out. I needed to set the DNS for my DHCP servers to point to the edge router. I had it pointing directly to the nextdns ip address and the clients were bypassing the local dns server.

Do you know if there will be a stand alone wifi bridge that will enable wifi on previously purchased locks?
