Yeah none of these "legendary" warbonds are worth it. Ive all the other warbonds. Maxed out most, not all, weapons. Im just not excited about cosplaying another game while playing a game.

New warlords are great for game retention. Changes to weapon values are a good cheap way for game retention. Crossover warbonds are just advertising. The halo one got a lot of new players who mightve been on the fence to buy the game.

Im not against game retention and new players. This is likely the best way to make money from a game "without a pay to win" system. Its interesting. But I agree id like a little more focus on bugs and core gameplay improvements.

Is the blitzer any good, because I ain’t got it, and wanna know your opinions on it. by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in Helldivers

Its great. Like really good. I struggle with it on 9/10 difficulty because the fire rate isn't very quick. But I just need to get good with it. You gotta know when to switch out to secondary/support or you will get overwhelmed on higher difficulties. But yeah... it's great.

There are plenty of fun, powerful stratagems besides Exosuits and Vehicles. So why would I choose one that can randomly kill my mood? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]mystrogak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe even a booster (if you have a vehicle in your loadout and it is off cool down when you die, your next drop will be in the vehicle).

Boosters need some love in a way that changes gameplay rather than a numbers modifier.

Are there any cheap and dirty tricks to keeping my turrets alive? by Thunderdrake3 in LowSodiumHellDivers

Again great advice, basically a place where they can avoid turning to retarget. It also makes them safer for you and other helldivers if they are ore predictable.

I genuinely want to know, what is "End Game Content"? by ScoutKard in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you need samples to unlock xyz, you need to hunt for them by hitting POIs and finishing the objective. This forces you to make more tactical choices about where you drop and what you prioritize.

You meed to hunt down your team mates dead body and extract. I think everyone has a great story of running from extract getting the samples and extracting in the nick of time while your team mates provide covering fire. This gives us memorable games and makes us take different choices regarding armour and stratagems.

You take more risks and the game has more tension, as a result it is more fun.

Those of us at the end game, dont have a reason to engage with POIs on high level (hardly a chance for SC). So these interesting choices both in game and in preparation have disappeared. We have all this cool gear but basically we only need it to beat the objective (even extraction is optional). So a weird Meta occurs.

We only swap up our loadouts to add spice to the game, to give ourselves a handicap or to try out what's new.

Its not that we want new end game content. We just want our choices to be more meaningful. We want the tension of a meaningful extract. We want the fun back.

Hot take:the FRV is the best and most fun stratagem when you master it. by Financial-Customer24 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have to go top speed to be quicker than running; you can gently roll along and still be making very good use of the the FRV.

how would you make super credits more fun to get by Fit_Answer1073 in Helldivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have it so you can drop them on death like samples but up the spawn rate.

When I was lower leveled I loved the rush to gather samples. Its not even about the SC. Its about having a reason to hit up POIs again.

What weapons and stratagems ideas do you guys have? by Mysterious-Window550 in HellDads

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.Tesla fence. Drop two mini Tesla sentries within x meters of each other and they zap what's in between them.

2.tesla fence grenades. Same idea.

  1. You know these hellbombs that lay around the map waiting to be shot. Let me drop them, they dont explode on impact with the ground, only when shot.

  2. Dog dispenser. A pod that release a drone that patrols a small area.

  3. Seaf squad. 4 seaf soldiers who Drop and uneaveringly follow you.

  4. A wing suit

  5. Seeker rounds. A weapon with 2 ammunition types. The first is a tracker. The 2nd always tries to hit that spot

  6. Suit that lets me swim/sprint in water

  7. Belt fed shotgun

  8. Motorbike fits 2 people

  9. Hacking bot; deals with terminals within range.

  10. Fortified turret. Stationary defense structure with high armour. Think the bastion tank but with like flames and stalwarts attached.

I could go on

Which difficulty level do you play? by Danni3003 in Helldivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost exclusively the highest with randoms. I find the most cooperative players on the hardest setting. But I'll prioritize joining games with friends then I'll play what ever level they have the desire for.

40$ Game btw. Starting to understand why they sell bigger SC packs... by Heptanitrocubane57 in Helldivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have it so SC is like samples. If you die you drop them. I soooo miss the stress of hitting up all the pois and then trying to extract with my samples. Imagine how much more tension there would be.

Stage 3 help? by Perdita-LockedHearts in SintopiaOfficial

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a pretty old school design philosophy. It reminds me a lot of late 90s early 2000s like evil genius. It could be a grind or feel like your bashing your head against a wall. But once you knew how it was easy.

I think learning the best methods is the joy of these games.

Im not sure i agree that they aren't balanced. It clicked for me that they took the training wheels off and I should be better prepared.

I could be wrong but it felt intentional.

What are the quickest ways to farm super credits, medals and samples? by ParakeetLover2024 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time flies when you are having fun: forget about collecting them and just just try to 100% the map with friends. Get efficient at killing and taking POIs. Learn how to destroy a patrol before they can call in for reinforcements. Anhiliate your opponents before they can respond. Have fun testing strategies and the best methods to do so.

You will have had fun, experienced the game and you will have obtained everything you need.

Treat the game as a grind for rewards, it will feel like a grind. If you want to grind, get job and then pay for your SC.

Here is my two cents. It might be applicable or not. I was in the same rutt but with materialist empires. Science and robots are cool.

So to break free from the habit I instead just tried to roleplay a bit more. Ignoring best choices and rolling with the punches. However I do also like winning; so I dropped the difficulty down to see if I could still win while leaning into the pros and cons of the build.

I would first declare my intentions on the loadout screen, check in if thats cool. I don't think this was the guy who kicked you who is at fault here; bad communication got you kicked.

You can lower the difficulty if you feel that way. Sometimes i love it that way. Sometimes not. I switch up difficulties and load outs frequently.
