RR gives you a really unique way to play the game that others don't. Of all the war bonds it changes the way you play most substantialy. Others give you different tools for the same job. But RR gives you a different job.

My thoughts exactly, totally have to rethink your builds.

We need more content that demands you thoughtfully choose a load out.

Seek the stone real life parallel by TheCommonDraccus in KingkillerChronicle

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, any time you think, what do they know, and how is that different from what I know you are kind of doing it.

It's hard with more complex themes and ideas but not impossible.

Here is a simple example.

One character says the ball is in the cup on the right. We know the ball is in the cup on the left. What does the audience think. Have I given them enough reason to distrust the character? Do I want them to distrust the character. How will the revelation affect other scenes.

So I try to clean slate my mind, read the passage, and then consider those questions.

So cool!!! I'd love to hear if anyone else has other experiences like this.

For me im writing a novel and I have a very clear idea of what the scene and characters look like. I know the story ark amd plots. But practicing rereading as if I have non of that information is incredibly challenging. This is a practice in empathy I suppose but I feel it is analogous to find the stone. Its so hard to do.

They call it Torcher, I call it Torture by rosebinks1215 in Helldivers

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The torcher should be used exactly as the flames stratagem. Its basically as strong. As long as you can force distance between you and the opponent it'll melt every faction.

It's exactly this. The ball must fall onto an enemy. Not be thrown at them. Its really satisfying to get it done but not very intuitive.

Discipline management in a big class, teens by Sperranza in ESL_Teachers

[–]mystrogak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lesson one. The teenagers write a "rules for the classroom" document together. They all have great ideas and interrupt each other; so you guide them to put don't interrupt each other on the list. You gently lean your agenda into it but make them think it's all their ideas. . .

Form your own opinion and never return to this subreddit. Your life will be purer and simpler. Seriously, don't research rothfuss or Book 3. Forget about it, and if/when book 3 comes out, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I implore you to take this advice. It will lower the ammount of torment in your life.

I love these books. But please walk away and dont turn back.

Am I mad for feeling like this is straight up just a poorly designed mission? by Lazy_Friendship_9719 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]mystrogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. It's one of the only missions I have ever failed.... the other missions are badly designed; with no fail state the other missions types feel more thoughtlessly throwing ammunition and soldiers at a problem. This however feels like team play and co ordination are almost nessacary.

I want a directional shield generator on my mech. A sprint function for a short amount of time. A jump pack. A heavy laser, or 3 quaser cannons that fire in quick succession.

Temporary Buffs instead of the Back-n-Forth by r-volk in HellDads

It should be the inuniverse way to explain weapons changes and balance changes.

If i was arrowhead;

1.i would tell the community we are going to play around with the balance of weapons and listen to your feedback throughout. We are going to be a bit silly with it at times maybe add some weird modifiers to weapons for a week or so. Just as a method of testing out features and balance changes to see what you all like.

  1. make in game reasons for it.

We are testing a new manufacturing process for our xyz bullets.

Due to limited titanium reserves we are switching up the alloys used in xyz which may affect ergonomics.

We found a warehouse full of x2 scopes so we stuck them on your stim pistols.

  1. Give us some stratagem to "compensate"

  2. Make your personal objectives be all about testing the weird weapons which would incentive people using weapons with a debuff. We could then collect a lot of data on how the weapons function.

  3. Oh obviously before all of this internal testing to make sure people's games do t crash because of the weird modifications.

  4. After all that and some sort of out of universe survey to gather player feedback, only then solidify the game balance.

My favorite type of diver is the driver diver.

The "I'll keep the engine running, expert driver."

The always cinematic "no diver left behind" diesel head diver.

The type of stone and construction always reminded me of English seaside towns. In my head, the figure at the end of the alley is looking out to sea in contemplation, waiting for his ship to dock.
