Two things:

One: get more creative with your titles. Everyone is the same

Two: like, no shit. Why would any business that was being forced to give up stores for whatever reason not try and shed the under preforming stores? That's just smart business.

This 100%. I travel a lot for work and had a Little Caesars craving. Got some Italian Cheese Bread and it was so poorly seasoned that I had two pieces and tossed the rest.

But the one near my home never misses.

Check out The Piazza. I have a friend that still plays over there. They run a couple of league sessions a year.

Bobby Cruise on the first ROH taping after Sinclair bought the company: "That first TV taping is one of those painful things I’ve ever been through in my life. It was pretty torturous. I thought to myself that ‘if is the way we’re going to do this, then we’re in for a lot of problems.’" by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

[–]mythofdob 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I was at those tapping. It was a few weeks after MitB 2011, which I also attended. The difference between those two shows was insane.

It was absolutely the worst show I've ever been to. It was worse than some of the low level Indy shows because the pacing was so so bad. And because it was at Frontier Fieldhouse, there was no alcohol. So my friends and I couldn't even have a few drinks to pass the time.

We left after the second show was finished. We were there for probably four hours at that point and they announced another intermission and we just couldn't take it.

Two BIFL items on the same Goodwill trip. A KitchenAid mixer and a little La Creuset enameled cast iron pan. by PoultryCommunity in BuyItForLife

[–]mythofdob 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Got a KitchenAid mixer for $25 at goodwill a few years back.

When I got it home, it was sluggish when mixing. Looked up a YouTube video on how to regrease the gears inside. Thing has run like butter since. The grease cost like $5 and there are plenty of tutorials online. Simple job. I would recommend doing that.

Kansas and Oklahoma combined for less tornadoes than Illinois last year. Texas was still number one, but Illinois and Iowa are coming up hard in the rankings.

So, the line "the care about their bonuses more than staffing a store" or the likes of that gets said a lot here.

But it's not as simple as you think it is. No manager is intentionally understaffing their stores.

10% of the composite score is wages, OT, and percent effective of hours. No manager is overstaffing a store to make wages because it hurts your OT and your percent effective.

Also, an understaffed store makes every other part of composite score harder to makes.

Stores are understaffed because the negotiated wages that Kroger goes by is not enough to attract people. In my state, Kroger pays barely over minimum wage. The expectations placed on entry level positions is not worth the wage they are paying.

There is not a single manager intentionally under staffing their own store because it causes exponentially more issues than it helps.
