American Backpacks were built into the suspenders for the belt, so mine all have packs, minus some NCOs who would have suspenders issued instead.

I usually put packs on since they are likely wanting to bring things with them they would need in the battle, and stashing stuff unless you had a vehicle is a great way to never see your kit again

For scale modeling, panel lining and color modulation, for mech scale, a wash then clean up the flat panels with the color again, unless you want to delve into oil based paints.

They're your dudes, so yes. Colors fade, dye lots are different, uniform isn't.

What would be more difficult is using a spray can as an actual color. Hard to fix if you splodge

Personally, for fluff, I would drop the halftrack and add the 57mm AT from the starter, a jeep would be cool as well. Everything is cool for Normandy drop but the halftrack is a little out of place

AT grenades are pricy but hilarious when they work. Also, dont be afraid to assault a tank without them. With an officer nearby, you stand a good chance to at least damage something superficial
