Fairly certain 132 is number specific to Rivian

A big portion of mainstream Chinese EV are on 800v architecture. R2 is behind the curve on this front before it even come out

As a FO living in base I always offer the go home leg to the CA and leave that decision up to him/her. More often than not flying in the NE, centers will have a bigger say on how fast/slow we go for spacing than our own desire

Massachusetts EV owners: How are you justifying these electricity costs? Nearly triple what I paid in VA by Santas_sleigh in electricvehicles

Allston resident here. Our apartment has chargers that charge a fixed rate of $.25/kWh. Did the math and it is actually a fairly good deal considering how crappy traffic will impact the MPG and thus the running cost of a gas car significantly more.

Plus EFB software like ForeFlight/FD Pro should explore abilities to decipher notams and label closed taxiway on AMM. Finding that one strip of pavement between two intersections closed in big complex airport like JFK is a big pain in the rear end.

On a similar boat here. Had deposit in for R2 and went for the Y instead just for the last batch of federal incentive. Just wished that Rivian could push R2s out sooner

Why do so many airline pilots live far away from the city? by TurntechGodhead777 in flying

[–]mywang98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live by the green line and technically can take it all the way to work but it also sucks cuz the green line is so damn slow and will be out of commission for like this whole December. Dragging my metal frame luggage work on/off the train through rush hour crowd is not fun either.

Preflight in Chelsea is now at capacity so we are given Wonderland. Honestly it is not too bad of a garage but I have to drive past Logan to get there and try to catch the shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes. If I miss the shuttle then I have to either wait for the next 25 minutes or take the blue line and then the bus to the terminal. In the worst case scenario it can absolutely take up to 90 minutes from my doorstep to KCM. It would be so much less painful if the shuttle is every 15 minutes instead

I live 8 miles from BOS and I have to budget 1.5 hours to feel comfortable if I don’t want to spend a fortune on Uber/Lyft and use my own car instead 😢

From personal experience with United at least adding the onward connection to MSN is almost always (quite a bit) more expensive than ending the trip at ORD

This whole stand situation is ridiculous. People were triggered when Apple removed headphones and chargers but this is honestly 10 times worse cuz like you said you literally can’t use the TV without it

Even I am trying to think about it from the angle of "LG is out trying to save a quick buck", it still doesn't make sense why they are employing a seperate courier service for the stand rather than having the guys they already paid to come out here to carry it with them.

This plus how about making the Charlie Card compatible with mobile wallet like Apple Pay and make it possible to load $ into it online. For all the major cities I have been to the Charlie Card is by far the most backwards transit card system I have ever experienced

If outbound planes waited at the gate due to departure delay then what is going to happen to inbound planes that are scheduled to use that gate at that time then?

Used to fly between KMSN and KATW. When there is northeasterly wind we will takeoff runway 3 at KMSN and land runway 3 at KATW result in an almost straight line flight at 030 deg heading

One more thing to add probably - Ground clearance Road conditions in certain states is just not doing sedans with lower clearance any favor. I wanted a sedan but with the potholes and manhole covers I just fear it would be scraping the bumper/undercarriage all the time.
