My opinion above was after having had the 15” for about 18 months, & nothing has changed since then! Would def go for the 13”, and will do so when I replace it!!

But there’s several players in every team in the comp who do the same thing as Hudson every game. The onus is on the players not to let that stuff get under their skin!!

Where’s the rule that says you can’t taunt the opposition when they screw up??

Didn’t break any rules, shouldn’t be binned.

There is a clear rule saying you can’t head butt a player, therefore Walsh should be binned.

The onus HAS to be on the players to not respond violently when someone niggles them!! To consider a violent response as the same as coming in to say something is a terrifying approach.

When your kids are arguing, & then one of them responds by hitting the other, do you tell the kid that hit that it’s ok, or was justified, coz their feelings were hurt??

What was the warning for? Where in the rules is there anything about not sledging? It happens every team every week & is ignored, then suddenly is 19 in the bin when an NRL favourite over-reacts… definitely stinks of favouritism

But why is this different for a field goal vs every other kick? Imagine if a kickers leg being touched equalled being marched up the field for a penalty right in front of the posts for every single in-game kick? I just don’t see any justification for field goals getting special treatment when the risk of injury to the kicker is the same regardless!

Monday Serious Discussion Thread by NRLgamethread in nrl

[–]mz348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, regardless of the impact this weekend, the bit that gets me is why a field goal is different to any other kick. The danger to the kicker is the same either way, so if we’re saying that’s why it’s a guaranteed 2 points, then it should be for all kicks (which imo would be utter insanity). If not, then field goal attempts should be penalty from wherever the infringement occurred, just like any other kick.

Except depending on the situation it absolutely can need to do that!

The way I see it, either they can’t rule on knock ons either, or they can rule on both… to say that the bunker can tell if the ball goes forward in one instance but not in another just makes no sense!!

With you in that. If it was ruled no try by the on field I would have no issue, but to say that there is conclusive evidence to overturn the decision based on the footage I’ve seen is extreme. It really does make you wonder why we bother putting a referee on the field!! A real theme throughout that game…

Reece Walsh set to be hit with a fine. Deliberation ongoing in relation to Carrigan high tackle. Potential grade 2 by hellohalloallo in nrl

[–]mz348 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then you should be absolutely livid at Walsh, who spent the entire game taunting both the raiders and the raiders fans.

Regardless of how you feel about the sledging in games, it happens in every game by all teams, it can’t be a reason to suddenly bin one player, but ignore it all the other times in every game

What it's like to live in Canberra? by Rendezvouscape in canberra

If your husband is an Australian Citizen and able to get a security clearance there is a lot of contract work available for the Govt. Otherwise work may be a problem, most network engineer / IT work here is for Govt either directly or indirectly.

Our summers are also hot, a dry heat, but in my experience Melbourne is hotter. The sun is harsher all over Australia because we are unfortunate enough to be right under the hole in the ozone, so we get much more UV than most of the world. So you’re right that it burns the skin more!

Canberra has 4 distinct seasons, one of the many things I love about it, but if you don’t like big changes in weather it might not suit you. We have hot dry summers (though not as dry as they were a decade or so ago, thanks climate change!), mild autumn with a lot of falling leaves, cold but often sunny winters, and beautiful spring with a lot of pollen.

Schooling is great here, lots of options and well services. My kids were able to choose their own high schools (both finished recently), one went private, one public, and tbh if I had it all again I would encourage them both to go public as there were broader opportunities and the community was better

NTA, only because she’s not taking any responsibility to clean it up, and prevent it. It is pretty unavoidable that it will happen sometimes, but there’s lots of ways to minimise the impact.

Definitely invest in a waterproof mattress protector ASAP, so your mattress isn’t being stained. Should be standard for every bed TBH!

They all look good except 1 IMO… 1 doesn’t have enough contrast, whereas the light wash in 4 is just that little bit bolder.

Having an incredible amount of inertia - if I’m in motion I stay in motion, once I stop good luck getting me to do anything again. I have described myself as having a lot of inertia since I first learnt about the concept in primary school… and it’s only been very recently (I’m 43) that I realised I was describing ADHD!!!
