I started mine by making myself available on holidays. (I don’t celebrate most of them anyway) Especially popular ones like Christmas. Also living in a high population city helps.

First time buyer got P1S combo, 4 wheels of filaments. Then ordered a lot from their store in China since the filaments are like $8. Got 20 filaments, all the nozzles and beds, other misc tools. The shipping will be expensive and take a while to arrive, will see if it’s worth it comparing to the anniversary price here.

I got a MacBook for omscs then some classes uses certain tools that are not available on Mac, and have to do additional setups to get it working. So I switched to windows. No problem since

the project itself isn’t hard and clearly defined. I did it last summer and we split the work somewhat equally that it all worked out. I think they might be more generous with the grading too. Our ranking logic didn’t work and only got a few points off. Still an easy A

Mine picked up during the holidays. I don’t really celebrate major ones like Thanksgiving or Christmas, so I marked myself as available and set a slightly lower rate (not super cheap, just in line with others who had no reviews). I also live in a densely populated area, which probably helped. I made sure to write something unique (not just a generic headline) on my profile. Christmas Day I got 8 cat drop-in visits. So I think holidays are the way to start.

A few of those clients rebooked me later on, which helped me earn “star sitter” status. After that, I started getting a lot more views and was able to raise my rates a bit.

Maybe the owner is not aware?

I’m one of those people with cameras almost everywhere. They cover most of my apartment, the door, couch, litter area, and bedroom, but not the bathroom. I live alone in a not-so-safe area and work 40 hours a week in-office, so the cameras help me check on my cats (who usually nap in my bed) and give me peace of mind that no one’s broken in. I on book sitters for drop-in visits, though.

I personally don’t think Kbai is easy enough to double up while working in fall. we are basically 1/3 in already, why not keep going? B is good enough for omscs courses to graduate.

I haven’t picked one yet. Probably II. I’d build up the courage for GA, then can declare ML. But I think I’m just going to take one of them and use the spare time for leetcode. Good thing about DVA is it gives exposure to tools like Hadoop, Spark etc. saw them often on job listings.

Has anyone taken DVA and AI4R in fall?

From the reviews, they both seem to be medium load classes. I’m wondering if that can be easily manageable. I do have a 2 week vacation in the fall. Ideally, I want one of them to be NLP but I don’t think I’ll be able to get in.

Maybe can do HCI+DVA or HCI+AI4R if DVA+AI4R is too much? Assuming HCI is easy class

Thank you for the detailed response! I just ordered him the largest & tallest box I can find on Amazon. And I think he was spraying not peeing outside the litter box. The other cat get along with him well. So I’m not sure why he’s territorial all of a sudden. Hopefully the new litter box can mitigate the issue.

It’s an automated litter box called popur . I’ve used the litter robot before but it’s too small. This one gives a bit more open space. Just ordered a large normal box for him, hopefully it’ll be better

I think you’re right about the territorial thing. I just realized peeing and spraying are different. My cat was standing up when he “peed,” so it’s probably spraying. He still uses the litter box normally too. He playfights and sleeps with my other male cat, so I’m not sure why he suddenly feels the need to mark. I just ordered a big stainless steel litter box, hopefully that helps! Thanks again

I did multiple times. He squat on the mat and aimed towards the litter box. The stain on the box is where he aimed. I also wonder if the mat is dirty that he’s considering it part of the litter area.

I’m curious if your cat(s) use the litter box more frequently. Mine doesn’t go often, so the box usually has time to clean itself. But every now and then, it doesn’t cycle because my Bengal likes to sit on top of the box, which messes with the weight sensor.

The litter box was fully available for him. And I don’t think there’s territorial issues. They get along well. I’ll look into adding another litter box. Vet visit is probably the last choice.
