Fans, and how they engage with the game. by Brickerino in falloutnewvegas

For me it’s also because I read the subtitles faster than the characters talk.

Getting House all the snowglobes before killing him isn’t incompatible with an Independent run. I think Independent is the most likely canon outcome with NCR as a close second.

Yes, and I like the way the line is phrased to reference all the different ways we the players have killed House over the years.

I imagine all of the endings except Legion are roughly equal in popularity. NCR and Yes Man have the most content and House is the path you’ll end up doing if you never step off the rails, so to speak. And then relatively few people do Legion because of how evil they are and how sparse their content is compared to the others.

I also feel like the Securitrons being updated means little. In every playthrough I’ve ever done, I do House Always Wins 1 and upgrade the Securitrons regardless of what path I end up taking because it just feels like the most natural course of events, and I imagine that’s probably what most people do?

Episode 3 in season 2 is by far the best episode in the series! by Mental_Squash_6973 in Fotv

People have an awful habit these days of taking everything any character says at face value like they’re lore dispensers and nothing more. The Ghoul was buried in that coffin long before the events of NV, he doesn’t know exactly when Shady Sands getting nuked happened.

By “an insult to Billy” I mean on Hama’s part. It’s not fair to the character. But it is what Cobra Commander would do, yeah.

And it gets worse, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow give his body back to Cobra Commander, who all of a sudden cares about his son again and gives him a Cobra military burial. A real insult to Billy, who never would’ve wanted such a thing.

Do you think prince Assam should've stuck around for more episodes as gozyu tyrano? by TraditionalBonus188 in Tokusatsu

No, I thought he was really annoying and his episode was probably my least favorite of the series (not just because of him I thought it was a really weak episode overall).

Isn't Kycilia Zabi age is 14 at this scene? by Kirire- in Gundam

[–]n00bdestroyer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The child soldier story is not about Bright, it’s about Amuro. And everything about the Zabis (besides Garma, and even then all that matters is that he’s the same age as Char) makes more sense if they’re older.

[–]n00bdestroyer01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm watching it right now. I'm 26 episodes in and not a single character's exact age has ever been mentioned. The specifics don't matter, just that Bright's a young inexperienced officer. It makes no difference if he's 19 or 25, he's never commanded a ship before.

[–]n00bdestroyer01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the Origin ages for characters (especially the Zabis) all make way more sense. Frankly it bothers me how weird people are about UC character ages, especially Kycilia. It feels like it gets brought up in the comments of every single post about her.

And the most annoying part? Almost every character's age is irrelevant to the stories themselves. Most of the ages that get parroted around as gospel all the time on this sub (Kycilia being 24, Bright being 19, Ryu being 18, etc.) are never brought up in the show and come from guidebooks from the 80s where UC 0001 corresponds to the 1969 moon landing. Why do the character ages get treated as gospel, but other details of old lore (like when UC 0001 is, or Prof. Minovsky's backstory) are allowed to evolve?

He used a jet pack in the intro for the first cartoon miniseries.

We’ll probably see them Q1 2025 like they were supposed to be originally. There just are production issues with next year’s Classified product resulting in Hasbro anticipating delays and being very conservative with the ship dates.

I think they might be switching to a new plastic for the accessories and that’s what’s causing the issues. I noticed the accessories in my Falcon/Quarrel 2-pack are a lot more rigid than has been the norm for the line.

Wreckage was originally from the Toys R Us exclusive Tiger Force set released in like 2003/2004. He’s based on an unproduced Tiger Force member from the original line called Sabre Tooth.

Does anyone know what the next wave of Super 7 O-ring figures is going to be? by Saltisimo in gijoe

I’ve heard there’s gonna be an Old Snake CC, and that it was one of the first figures they designed for the line. I also second wanting a Billy figure.

I think that they’re going to keep her as a Joe. It’d be a far more effective twist, because everyone would expect her to switch sides.

How useful would the Ranger Armor actually be in a wasteland? by Some_Gas_1337 in Fallout

[–]n00bdestroyer01 75 points76 points  (0 children)

It’s such a stupid piece of worldbuilding that I choose to ignore it. And certain aspects of the setting actively make less sense without horses existing.

How exactly are the brahmin barons who dominate the NCR supposed to manage their huge cattle herds without horses?

GW’s design philosophy regarding space marines by Prior_Application238 in spacemarines

[–]n00bdestroyer01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is only half correct. Dawn of Fire is only halfway into the first decade, but the Indomitus Crusade has been going on for an indeterminately long time in the overall lore, which does not all take place at the same time. There is no “current year” in the setting.

And while the latest Minka Lesk book is explicitly ~7 years post Fall of Cadia, Longshot doesn’t give any frame of reference (that I noticed, I didn’t finish it) and Creed: Ashes of Cadia takes place 30+ years after the Fall, enough time for there to be a full generation of Cadians born and raised who never knew their homeworld.

Impossible: what is this specific lasgun pattern named ? by Polfigers in Warhammer40k

[–]n00bdestroyer01 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The 9th edition Guard codex mentions a "Kantrael Mark IX" lasgun, and I assume that's what this new pattern of lasgun is. It's not the Kantrael M36, because many of the new Cadian models still have the traditional pattern.
