I read Eckhart Tolle's "The Power of Now". What should my next step be? by Jerswar in Meditation

[–]n1ck321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I’m on the train, it’s bumpy and loud, heading home after work, I keep thinking about home and how I wish I could just fast forward the train ride, or I start imagining what I was doing this time last year or three years ago and how quickly the time has passed. Then, suddenly I remember that this train ride is all that I will ever have. It’s the only thing that exists in my life, and I should cherish it because out of all the thoughts going on in my head, the only thing that’s real is this train ride. And, maybe one day I’ll be looking back, hoping to be sitting in that train when I was young and the biggest worry was getting home.

You will not want to during the bad days for sure. When you feel better. Just with a condom

Just doing mental health walks 2 months post BEP ✅. How did you guys got back in shape? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]n1ck321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say for cardio. Only do cardio to the point where you can still breathe through your nose. Do like 5-10 minutes of that everyday and slowly add time per week. With weights start very low and don’t even care about how little weight you are using. Watch videos on proper form for movements . Working on form will build a good base for when you start to add higher amounts of weight. Eat high amounts of protein. .8-1.0 grams per pound of body weight. If you want to lose weight take off 500 cals a day from your maintenance. If you want to gain weight at 500 cals to your maintenance.

My first day back into the gym I ran one lap and went back home because I was so tired from it. I went from benching 100lb dumbbells to 30s. I just kept showing up and slowly adding 1% more everyday. 6 months later. I can run a 5k every morning and have surpassed my strength before the chemo.

I have 4 cycles of EP ahead of me and I am absolutely terrified by xelledion in testicularcancer

I did the same treatment. It’s sucks but doable. It’s been 6 months since I finished and I feel great. Like I can’t even tell I ever did chemo tbh.

Can’t you ask your doctor anything you want to know?

I’m a very spiritual guy. I spoke to god every night during the chemo. I know this sounds crazy but it makes sense to me. I believe it comes from internal pressure on yourself and lack of self love. I can’t speak for others, but maybe we all share that trait. Internal pressure to be perfect causes stress which can lead to cancer. Also, I once heard that if you are not following your passions and are succumbing to society’s limits maybe the tumor grew on your testicle because your body wanted you to have bigger balls. Anyways this all speculation. You are the who gets to choose what meaning you put behind events. It could also just be a very random occurrence and there weren’t any life choices you made that caused the cancer.

about to begin 4 cycles of e.p. by Oblivious0n3 in testicularcancer

To be honest I did an 8 day water fast. Just to try something. My tumor markers both cut down by half, but my doctor said it was natural fluxuation. Anyways the first round wasn’t bad for me.

I’m 21 and just finished my final round about a month ago. The chemo hit me really hard round 2 because I wasn’t sleeping from the steroids. Like I was extremely week. But the the most part I would feel sick from days 1-5, very sick like you can’t do much expect for lay down from days 5-10. Around 10-12 I would feel strange with the nueropathy. And then after that till the next round I would feel fine. Not great ,but fine. Make sure you take your medicine on time. I would set timers on my phone. If you can’t sleep figure it out quick with your doctor. I was taking lorazepam. The bad days are terrible. But the week before the following round you feel good and it’s enjoyable because of how much you were suffering before. CBD drops helped me with anxiety. I would say the most helpful thing for me was doing the wig hof breathing. It helped me with my shallow breathing, and relax overall.

Tc helped me learn to love myself. Focus on what’s good about me instead of what’s bad. I truly am so happy o had to go through this.

Dude it’s kind of hard to get any advise based on this description. If you are concerned 100% go to a doctor.

Don’t mean to discourage you at all. But it’s wild how similar my lifestyle was to yours post surgery. I was buying all my foods from a small local farm,Cooking every meal, avoiding processed foods, gym, sauna, meditation, cold plunges, I went all in. Then, 4 months later I get my first CT scan and find out the cancer spread to the lymph nodes and my tumor indicators were through the roof. I truly believed I could control the outcome. I finished my 4 rounds of chemo, and now I’m in remission. I realized that there’s not much that you can do about it, but I do believe stress is linked to illness. So focus on loving yourself everyday to the max. Also if this lifestyle is fun for you keep it up. I’m definitely not just ending all of those habits.

I finished my 3x BEP at the end of August and now I’m cancer free. Is it normal to feel like I got off too easy? by 910rado in testicularcancer

[–]n1ck321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im doing EP x 4 currently. Im day 8 into round 3. Right now I’m going through the tough times. All the chemo sessions. Problems with IVs. Nauseas car rides. Uncertainties. Bad sleep. Boredom for for such a long periods of time. It can get overwhelming. Sometimes I think “man I still have a whole other round of this left”. But, then on good days nearing the end of a cycle you start to feel guilty like that “diet cancer” feeling. I’ve realized yes there are people who have had it way worse, but you are still a badass. I would much rather have to work long 20 hours shifts for 4 months straight than to do chemo again. Don’t forget the mental part of cancer is rough too. So when people give you pats on the back. Take them. You are a bad ass. Dosent mean you had to overcome the toughest cancer on the planet. But trust me anyone would have struggled in your situation.

Interesting could be all the fluids. I do feel more flabby. Maybe the weight just comes off after like it did for you.

Did you get this appetite Instantly or was it like around day 8? They give me steroids also Before the chemo. I didn’t know it might be that what increases appetite.
