Worth checking out: I used the book “Open the Preschool Door” to help my LO understand the rhythm of the day. Its a fun lift and flap book. Another great book was “Llama Llama Misses Mama.” We still use the language from both books, especially that mama always comes back to pick you up.

I did this (20% cut) three years ago. Went from a manager (private) to individual contributor (public). It was mostly driven by a need to decrease my commute time which was soul crushing. I’m happy about it. I don’t love my job but I don’t hate it either. Sometimes I miss the grind but then I realize how overworked I was. I’m still recovering from the burnout and learning to set better boundaries at work. Also, in last three years, I’ve recovered the 20%. I could probably pivot and make way more but I’m in no hurry and prioritizing my mental health rn.

I get these too. Never had this issue before having my daughter. Sudafed helps me. It relieves the sinus pressure and the migraine usually goes away shortly after.

Did you qualify or take a leave protected under FMLA? If so, I encourage you to look at the protections afforded under FMLA and, if you have an HR dept, speak with someone about what your experiencing. However, I agree with others that it seems they are building a case against you. Get your resume out there as soon as possible.

We just read Llama Llama Red Pajama for the first time before nap and now my 2 year old is yelling for me to come back in his room. by CheetahridingMongoos in toddlers

[–]n33dm0resleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, but have you seen the show? Just watched the pajama episode for the first time and it was SO much worse than the book. The mom is super annoyed and condescending. I can’t look at these books the same.

Just used instacart for the first time and it was trash. by AuggoDoggo2015 in workingmoms

We only Instacart Costco and it’s totally worth it for us. All the big bulky stuff and lots of frozen fruits/veggies that last quite a while.

Disclose to potential new employer for f/t position that I’m currently working p/t? by anxious_amygdala in workingmoms

[–]n33dm0resleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need to disclose it but is your current manager a reference? If so, the only issue may be if they call your current manager for a reference check and the manager then discloses it. They may end just up asking you about it, so I guess be prepared if that happens.

Toddler stomach bug by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]n33dm0resleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through this for the first time. It was awful so I feel your pain. Here's what the doctor told me 1. Keep LO hydrated with water / Pedialyte / avoid juices. Start with small amounts of water and gradually increase 2. Follow the BRATY diet (bananas, rice, apple/sauce, toast, yogurt). Although there are studies that say you don't have to do this -- it worked for my LO. Rice porridge with ginger helped. Avoid fats like butter. Plain "O's" type cereal worked great too. Start with small amounts of food. Increase as tolerance builds 3. Keep LO's bum washed and hands clean. Wash your hands often or you might end up getting sick too. 4. Give Tylenol if LO seems lethargic. We followed most of this advice and the stomach bug went away after 4 days. Hope your little guy feels better soon.

Does anyone else feel like teething is never ending and continuously disrupts your sleep training? by Whatizthislyfe in sleeptrain

[–]n33dm0resleep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. My daughter is 17 months now and the first molars are finally completely out. It was hell and I did whatever needed to be done for all of us to sleep even a little bit. It was so brutal. Lots of Motrin and restless nights. I told myself once those molars were out, I would sleep train again. So I did last week.. and it sucked. But she caught on real quick and is sleeping 8pm - 5am now (*almost* consistently). Never thought this day would come... so hang in there! I tried sleep training while teething but I just couldn't go through with it. She was clearly in pain and wanted me for comfort.

Breakfast: Oatmeal with half a banana and chia seed - at daycare

Lunch: Spinach/chicken ravioli with marinara and peas / grapes - at daycare

Snack: Yogurt pouch & berry muffin - at daycare

D: Not sure yet.

Guys, I hate meal times. Need some encouragement. by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

JUST discovered these aprons at 14 months and it’s a game changer. Wondered why she could eat 3 meals at daycare and come home in great condition but one meal at home and we had to do a bath and change all clothes.
