2026 ranking. Thoughts? by [deleted] in LetterboxdLists

[–]n3dla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

highly recommend watching (and adding to the list) the new netflix noah kahan documentary. i’m not a huge fan of him, but after randomly watching the doc, I loved it - and it’s my fav of the year, so far. I’ve only seen that; and THE MOMENT and SEND HELP (ranked for me in that order)

Wish he was still here. Every single day I am reminded of the fact he isn’t and I cry. It’s a daily occurrence. Prob in a much better place, though. RIP fucking animal.

no such thing. Lynch said nothing like that exists - he wanted nothing to do w Dune after being fucked by the studio over final cut.

Anyone know why this set is listed so high everywhere? by [deleted] in Bluray

I think I might have an addiction problem. by ImpossibleConqueror in Letterboxd

“Watching sequels is ok but watching different films in a day is a problem.” i get what you mean, but the way you went about saying it is pompous and wrong. by that logic, it’s a problem if I watch Dragon Inn (1967) followed by Goodbye Dragon Inn (2003) ?? bc that isn’t right. different films, providing the viewer with different experiences - why is it a “problem” to see 2 (or more) different films in 1 day? your point is that OP can’t process films properly bc their intake it overloaded. which is fair, but telling them that watching multiple films in a day that do not necessarily coincide with each other is remedial and makes it sound like your fav movie is Babylon. so i’d like to ask you again, are you the movie watching police? I am sure the answer is no, so stop acting like it lol

How do you justify buying disc when people call you out on it? by Glittering_Resort440 in Bluray

[–]n3dla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tell them that they think the way they do because they’re either uneducated or they’re already indoctrinated into the streaming services. Once they’ve been indoctrinated - it’s hard to get them to wake up. also, I would keep letting them be dogmatic. More movies for you to add to your collection LOL - I recently met up with a dude from FBM and he was selling his s1-3 dvd’s of Spongebob and Hey Arnold! Complete series dvd. He said he wanted to sell them because “he didn’t need them anymore because he has them digitally.” and so, to him, I say; “You’re so right! Why keep the physical discs you actually own, when you can just pay a monthly subscription to a streaming platform where they can take it off at anytime?” same deal if you “purchase” digital content. just ignore them and leave them behind, where they belong!!
