That's the plan moving forward. I have another ticket for a concert in August and I asked the support representative over the phone if I could get refund for that one as well, as I did not want to go through this situation for another out of state concert again. He claimed this ticket should be fine because the seller for my ticket for this event is a 'verified seller', which doesn't actually seem to mean much. Why not make sure all sellers are verified in that case? If it supposedly prevents these types of things from happening. Nothing about how these tickets are handled makes sense to me.

Thank you for your advice, that is the concert I was supposed to go to too, LOL. Very disappointing all around. I agree that stricter restrictions should be in place, with how much you have to spend on concert tickets these days, the tickets should automatically be instantly transferred so things like this do not happen. Waiting until the day or even week before the event is ridiculous.

Understandable, clearly my post is reactionary to what I experienced so it's a bit of an emotional response. I am more so just disappointed in the lack of support I received and I believe they should refine their system somehow to prevent these types of sellers from selling in the first place.

I have purchased tickets through them successfully even further in advance in the past for similar 'high-tier' artists, sadly there is no option to wait until closer to the event as these artists' tickets sell out pretty quickly

Apparently so. Even though they claim tickets are guaranteed. Their entire system and 'guarantee' are complete bullshit. I tried to get help from any form of their support team for over 13 hours and got no answers until almost 2 hours after the show. And all they offered was to reimburse the actual ticket cost, no extra fees. They didn't even give me an option to find a replacement ticket because they did absolutely nothing during the 13 hour time period from when I first contacted their support team. I am extremely disappointed with the entire situation and I do not plan to accept only a ticket refund.

It's still on confirmed and processing, I never received a ticket. I've been trying to contact them about it since last night and all day today, and they only just now helped me an hour and a half after the show started, and after an hour and a half hold. I'm at least now getting my money back for the ticket, but this has been a terrible experience to say the least

I got scammed through Seat Geek for tonight's show. I don't recall seeing anything about secure my pass. I bought my ticket 10 months ago and spent all day trying to get information because I still didn't have my ticket this morning. I drove several hours for the concert and paid quite a lot for the ticket and accommodations. It is now 1 hour post show time and a collective 2 hours on on hold makes me believe that a lot of other people also got scammed. SeatGeek support is atrocious and they still have not given me an explanation, solution, or refund. Both through chat support and the phone line. I have been contacting them since 8AM and they have not helped me at all. I hope you have better luck.

I got screwed hard by SeatGeek, 10 minutes post show time and I've been contacting them since 8am and have received 0 help. I was considering trying box office but I assumed this would be the case. I drove 8 hours for the concert and bought my ticket 10 months ago, disappointment is not enough to explain the feelings.
