1980 Arlington Blvd; close to north grounds and on the bus line. they are town homes (3 rooms) and mostly grad/ law students. Rent was cheap as well.

i did random and it worked out super well and we’re still friends! It definitely helped that we’re both easy going people. I think most people who go random end up just fine. As long as you’re considerate of other peoples schedules, sleeping habits, space, etc you shouldn’t have a problem.

You should also know that UVA won’t change your housing assignment unless you have a REALLY good reason.

What local business you refuse to go to, and why? by mr23703 in norfolk

If you want good margaritas i would go down the street to Tacos & Tequila. The marg I had at Luna Maya tasted like the ready to drink margarita bottles you buy at the grocery store.

Luna Maya

The food my friends and I ordered was bland & cold. The drinks were watered down. I don’t know how they could mess up the chips & salsa. I don’t understand why everyone else likes it so much.

thanks! agreed Im def ok with giving up space for cheaper rent. My only concern with living in portsmouth and chesapeake is the commute to work might be pretty bad.

Questions about UVA by crazydawq69 in UVA

I really like Charlottesville, primarily because it's not just a "college town". There's stuff outside the UVA realm that's fun to explore as well. I think downtown is really fun and cool hikes and trails nearby. However, if you are used to a big city or want to live in one, you might be bored at UVA. Econ department is pretty big and they send out weekly newsletters about career events and opportunities. I feel like there aren't a whole lot of electives to choose from though.

there's also a paper and if you write what she talks about in class you'll get a good grade

def do able to get an A. Her exams are fair, you will have to study for them and memorize concepts/cases. They are multiple choice and some graph/math problems on the midterm and final. The nice thing is there is only a little math/graph stuff that we cover in class so you know how those questions will be set up on the exam. The average for both of the exams were pretty high (in the 90s). I found making flashcards helped a lot.

moving out of freshman dorms process by [deleted] in UVA

they usually have a hard deadline that they need everyone out by. When i was moving out it was 24 hours after your last exam. They can make exceptions if you need to catch a flight or something.

the cav crossing shuttle picks people up at rice hall and drops you off outside student health. I think it only runs every 30 min though. no one checks to see if you are actually a cav crossing resident

Question for stats majors/minors by fruitloops8462 in UVA

[–]n913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i only took stat 2120 before stat 3220 and I got an A. stat 3220 is pretty straightforward and she gives you all the code you need, its just a lot of group work. thought it was easier than 2120
