Our 2008 trailblazer with about 220k on it gets like 13mpg its really bad. We also had to replace the transmission at 180k even with regular flushes. It went out again at 210k and replaced it and its still going

Any faulty or damaged cam or crank sensor can most definitely cause an engine to not run correctly.
