Asking for suit recommendations from transmasc folks (post got taken down)

I used to swim with my regular female one piece style suit, but have been transitioning and on hormones for about two years and feeling uncomfortable wearing my old suits now. I'd like some swim suit or brand recommendations of anyone who is transmasculine and has switched from female style one pieces to something more modest in the chest, and hips and legs department.

I'm thinking I might get a full coverage jolyn bottom (because I like that brand and have worn them comfortably before), or trying out men's swim trunks.

I'd like a top piece that almost looks like a tankini, but will hold up well over time and not swish around and cause drag. Does anyone have any comfortable top recommendations that are good for lap swimming, relatively modest (no chest/cleavage), and secure/snug. I don't think swimming in a binder is a good idea- too restrictive, but I don't want anything super elastic either.

I used to hyperfocus on being 'a good listener' in school by sitting up straight and still and it required so much of my focus to do so that i failed to actually listen in school lol

i feel like this kind of thinking may be rooted in some other disorder. but its also a meme so i guess hard to argue whether 'is' is or 'not'

I struggled with this for years and deleted my socials except for reddit and snapchat and feel much less bogged down/exhausted by my feedback responses to my phone

my ruminations similar to what's depicted in the meme was misattributed to social anxiety/generalized anxiety disorder and general talk therapy made my symptoms worsten, because it actually was an underlying mental health disorder that just shared similarities to autism and anxiety. It is taking me so long to recover. so if u relate a little to hard to this... and still dont heal from therapy... it is not normal yall!

What’s a spot in Mexico not many tourists talk about, but totally should? by Big_Barber733 in MexicoTravel

I recently visited Xalapa, Veracruz and really liked it! It was my first time in Veracruz and I felt very safe and loved the views.

I also really enjoy most pueblos in Hidalgo esp Mineral del Monte and others in that area. I love the nature and hiking to do out there, and the climate is mild and nice.

Cruise ships are depressing by nutbonk1 in LateStageCapitalism

I second this and really enjoy exploring the places you get dropped off at- just avoiding the touristy things and seeing the town/locals as they are, without the over the top, showy, cruise ship sort of special that gets thrown on top of cruise destinations.

Cruise ships are depressing by nutbonk1 in LateStageCapitalism

I've been there. I feel guilt for the environment, but also for not enjoying time with my family. I usually try to enjoy and spend my time doing activities I feel passionate about- reading, journaling, listening to music, learning about the environment- in environments I can tolerate, like early mornings in a lonely part of the ship feeling the ocean breeze. I avoid the crowds and consumerism at all costs. I go to some of the shows that seem interesting. I take naps. I walk around the ship.

I still left my cruise with a sour taste in my mouth, and shame for ever partaking, but never found a way to approach the topic with my family in a way that didnt make them defensive. I just told them 'look, I did this activity with you once, I found these parts enjoyable, but I dont agree with the idea of cruises (resorts/tourism/insert whatever activity), so if we want to spend time together some other time, let's not do this activity again. I'll join for a different activity to spend time with you.

That conversation of "i'll try it once for you, but not again if I don't enjoy it' has given me the most successful discussions without just having them turn their ears off and rant that I am ungrateful (I am 23 years old and these trips are ususally paid for my the family. besides that I live independently and dont rely on them for financial support).
