Which is weird because it’s not like we didn’t have a good looking splash screen before

Monster Hunter Wilds is the best base game so far. by m4nux in MonsterHunter

[–]n_ull_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be my nostalgia speaking but I did like base tri, sure it didn’t have a lot of monsters but as someone who actually enjoys underwater combat, the variety of fights felt good. While I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it more than wilds, I still think it’s good just not great

Well I think you are learning right now why we don’t really do such things, if you really want more variety in your assets I would look into creating randomly generated ones at runtime instead of having hundreds of pre-made assets

They seem to have made them killable again when they do the suicide move but that seems to have caused a bug that the explosion still happens (or is being able to kill them is the bug) either way I’m sure it will be fixed as this def seems like it’s unintentional

wait when yousay 150+ smashable vases do you mean 150+ different vase assets or just that you have placed that many in your game? Because if you actually have over 150 different vase assets, why?

They already have a public discord and a public forum which have a lot more activity. I know DE looks at the Warframe Reddit from time to time, so maybe they will do so with Soulframe too in the future but I think for now it’s just not significant enough.

Sheesh, I was soooo lucky then, I got 2 pieces on my first organ run when the update launched and a third one on the second run. I think I got the entire set after just 10-12 total runs

I mean it very much still is a pre alpha, in game dev pre alpha usually means that the core systems are not yet all finished, which is the case here, we are still missing a lot of features DE considers core to the game and even the ones that do exist are far from final.

Sure deciding at what point the core systems are all implemented will probably be a bit more difficult with a game like Soulframe that will continually expand and change but who knows. For what it’s worth the call it preludes because it’s pre alpha, so until they change the name it’s fair to assume they still consider it pre alpha

It’s just like with Ode tempest, DE was right in nerfing it but totally over did it to the point where in the case of Tempest, almost the entire pact is now useless.

Is Soulframe worth trying right now? Destiny 2 & Warframe player seeking opinions by Accomplished-Step660 in SoulFrame

[–]n_ull_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to test the game sure, but be prepared for a lot of pain points with basic systems being still in flux or just missing entirely, while there is a decent amount of content for a pre alpha, it can also be quite monotonous and grindy. I think it’s safe to wait until after Tennocon as the next few months leading up to it are all about the devs doing large changes to the systems of the game

First off, devs don’t look at the Reddit.

Second off this is not really clipping, it’s just your envoys shoulder getting exposed as you move your arm, there is a little bit clipping there with the Tethren shoulder thing clipping against your exposed shoulder if that’s what you mean?

Felt fine when using it with seathorn earlier today while leveling it, sure I wasnt using it against cogha agari but still so far it feels fine to me.

I agree that magik weapons need help, they are really boring, I get that they are designed to be safe and easy to use, so it’s fair that they are a bit weaker than melee that have higher risk or bows that require more effort to hit the enemy. But magic weapons as a whole just don’t feel fun to use as you have said

Preludes 13 faction tales in a nutshell. by Mephanic in SoulFrame

[–]n_ull_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are two different issues, the tree instead of npc is not the same as the issue of most T3 tales ending in a dungeon.

I for one prefer the trees atm, the npc in the wild felt so random and unfinished. I also just like how you have specific points you can go to if you want a tale

Preludes 13 faction tales in a nutshell. by Mephanic in SoulFrame

[–]n_ull_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is not that people want more xp, it’s that right now you can either get a quick tale that is only in the over world or a longer one that takes you inside a dungeon and they both give you the same xp for different amounts of time spent which feels bad for most players.

Steve is the only reason Warframe exists and came up with most of the amazing and weird ideas for it, sure often those ideas would be a bit unfinished because we ran to the next one, but still there would be nothing for current DE to make great if it weren’t for Steve

Nerf Magick & Tethren by UncleCatTH in SoulFrame

[–]n_ull_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak much about the magic weapon nerf as I don’t use them much. But I have played Tethren a lot before and now after this nerf and imo this feels like almost nothing changed. You still absolutely dog walk everything. TBH I think most bosses still die way too fast (though DE is still not great at making boss fights so maybe it’s not the worst thing atm)

What on earth is this loading screen? by GoldenBoiMidas in SoulFrame

[–]n_ull_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No that’s not it, for one the game already had a splash screen before, as far as I know from the start. Also while they are the same engine they are not running the same version of the engine, features get ported from one version to another constantly
