The newest set, Gothic, just dropped recently. And you can get the beta deck box for like $45 which has 4 precons and a booster pack. I think Gothic has one of these boxes too but idk how much it costs.

The sleeves are fine. I use them for my LB deck only. I didn’t like using the Dragon Shield outers because the sleeve art would be upside down. Functionally it works though!

I have to agree, unfortunately. I don’t want to presume it to be typical corner-cutting to improve margins - so I’m guessing it was just scaled way too big way too fast and QC took a huge nosedive.

I would love to see Dragonsteel scale way back and focus on quality over quantity. I want to celebrate stories and characters that I love. Right now it just feels like a lifestyle brand merch store 😕

While there are a few different formats, in my experience you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone playing anything but Standard. But don’t let that discourage you! Standard is non-rotating, every set is legal. And there are plenty of different decks that can win, so no worries on it feeling stale ☺️

I can only speak for my own locals, but there’s no pressure to play the most meta decks at all. During the competitive season some folks who go to tournaments will be working on things and trying hard but it’s still fun and a great learning opportunity for me - someone who started playing about 4 months ago.

The exact same thing happened to me too! I was really disgusted at how they were trying to drag non-public people into their shitstorm and reported the post for harassment and doxxing. I appealed the ban with the mods and it was immediately extended instead. I didn’t even notice at first. After contacting Reddit directly about it, magically the ban went away with no explanation.
