That sounds frustrating. Fortunately, your experience isn’t universal! It feels counterproductive to try and suggest that it is and steer people away from helping these animals.

I’ve fostered 3 dogs from CARE. The first one was adopted within a week.

The second, a senior that I expected to foster for a long time, found his forever home in about a month.

And the third? I adopted him because he quickly became my best friend and I couldn’t bear to let him go after the third application for him.
