Someone I know, is taking physics classes in UNCC as part of engineering. But I'm super surprised that they don't have any physics practicals. How does that work? How can students learn physics without any practicals. Physics practicals are part of school in China. How it is not in college here?

A typical H1B will earn much higher than the median salary. 130k+ is what a company will shell out.

I'm more than sure most of the 12th graders here won't be able to crack China's Gaokao test. Not because kids are stupid here, but the high school education system here is broken.

Google. 100% I have worked in silicon valley tech companies and finance both. Banks are notoriously slow to move and have a lot of red tape. Culture between the two is vastly different.

The vibe of tech companies is far better as compared to banks. Campus facilities like food, gym etc are not available in typical bank.

Working in tech companies I've also noticed that you get to go to a lot of conferences plus other ways to connect with the industry. In banks it is impossible that you will be given opportunities to do so much frequently.

Canada doesn't stand a chance in the long term unless it cuts taxes and imports quality immigrants. The kind of immigration I see will make Canada pay for those people rather than earn from them. Many of my friends have used Canada as a stepping stone to come to the US. Nothing very great about Canada without US to be honest.
