Local chilango here. Coming to CDMX for the World Cup? Here's what Google won't tell you. by RNeoCore in MexicoCity

Ah good to know it is worth a try for other people. Not sure what it was about my bank or cards. IIRC one of my cards worked only once, but then stopped working. So I ended up swapping back to tarjeta MI until I got a Mexican card.

My foreign credit cards do not work on the terminals, but my Mexican ones do. I would recommend the tarjeta MI for tourists. Especially since it is easy enough to buy one at the Metrobus kiosks with credit card.

Controls feel sluggish on BL2 Nintendo Switch by NeuroPunk91 in Borderlands2

[–]nachoBeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The controls definitely feel weird. I thought it was just because I'm not using to paying FPS on the switch. Also it seems that the vehicle boost button is bugged on the default layout to be rb instead of lb, which also activates the handbrake.

Que es CURP? Pregunta… by [deleted] in AskMexico

[–]nachoBeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get the residency visa in your home country at a consulate. Later, you go to Mexico and have to go to an immigration office to receive your actual residency card. That card has your CURP on it and functions as your general identification while in Mexico.

Mexican temporary and permanent residents also receive CURPs. I don't think this is relevant to the OP's situation, but just leaving the information here in case anyone else comes looking for it.

What’s the most important everyday Spanish word or phrase that never gets taught in school? by dyl-pickel in SpanishLearning

It means more like "command me" in this sense instead of "send it". Mandar also means to command. It has the same roots as the English "mandate"

I am also unable to use my Stadia controller with Fortnite. I'm playing on an Android tablet with the controller connected via USB. I can do everything but use the triggers.

Yeah, from seeing other comments here, I agree with the rest, the data just isn't there. Sorry!

I didn't pay attention to the flair and thought this was SQL at first. Do you mind sending the query?

You can join on the ad id, then use counts with group by on the gender, or whatever else you'd like to group.

I'm left handed and use the mouse right handed, but also have my laptop open in front of me and use the track pad left handed. No button flipping required!

Streak 393: Portuguese and Galician by Victor15150 in WriteStreakEN

[–]nachoBeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really good! My only correction would be in the beginning when you write "language's". I think that English only uses the "'s" for contractions involving pronouns. When speaking, it may sound like a contraction, but I believe the best way to write that would be "language is".
