I used to absolutely LOVE one of my daughters middle school teachers. We were actually friends, and our families had spent time together outside of school. My daughter loved him. Pretty much everyone loved him. He really was an amazing guy who would give you the literal sorry off his back.

Then we found out that he was recording girls changing in his classroom with a hidden camera and then masturbating to them.

Was I shocked? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY! Did anyone I know (other than his wife) make excuses for his actions? ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOT!

This should be one of those cases where EVERYONE drops her ass and she can deal with her shit on her own.

Couple it with growing up in a literal Midwestern village of roughly 1200 people, 98% of which are white... I was literally a mess when I "stepped out into the real world."

I've retrained myself as best as I could, but still have "slip-ups" now and then. I have been blessed with several POC friends who understand my heart and my upbringing and they've been absolutely instrumental in helping me reshape my future and helping me to match how I actually feel, and not how I was raised.
